Little Catch Up!

Well to say that things with a crawler are much different is an understatement!  ha  :)  Reagan LOVES to crawl and has VERY quickly discovered that she can go anywhere and explore.  She was crawling through the hallway upstairs yesterday, then into our room, then to the guest room...she is all over!!  It is amazing too how in just a couple days her speed has increased!!  While I can hardly believe that my baby is crawling, it is sooo fun to see her check things out and see things from a whole new angle!

Here is our little catch up from the week! :)

Last Sunday was beautiful!  After Reagan's morning nap we went to the park...she LOVED the swings and the slide.  We went for a long walk too!  Why can't the weather just stay warm?!

Reaggie found the curtains in the office!

This was on Friday, Reagan crawled over to Bailey, gave him some "love" and then took his toy from him.  Poor guy, he just doesn't understand why this sister is now moving!!

Loving on her new toy!

We know Reaggie loves her some Morgan!  Friday night Margaret and I went out for the neighborhood Ladies Night, we had a BLAST!!  Reaggie and Morgan got to play and so did the daddys...ha!
Three guesses what the boys got into!?!?

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!  We are off to the grocery store and Reagan is currently pulling books off the book shelf...haha!

Children's Orchard

Reaggie and I took a little field trip to a store that a friend of mine has told me about for awhile, Children's Orchard.  It is a consignment store, with nice, name brand clothes for kids.  (I could have done some serious damage, but I think my daughter already has a similar love of clothes that I do, however she grows out of them every few months, so I must use control!)  They also have some toys, books, shoes...you know all that kind of stuff.  Well...I found this fun little standing toy for Reagan and she loved it.  I let her play on it while I kind of looked around, without going to far, and PLOP!  She fell, hit her head on the bottom of a clothes rack and was screeeeeeeeeeeeaming!  Poor thing!  I calmed her down and what did she want to do, go right back to that toy.  Obviously I had to get it for her and she LOVES it!  (Yes Mom, I cleaned it with Clorox wipes when I got home!!)

Zubers in NC

What a busy few days we have had!  On Wednesday Keith's sister, Kristin, her husband, Tom, and family came to visit from Rochester, NY!  It was sooo great to see them!  Her kids are 5, 3, and 15 months, so all four kids had so much fun together!

Reagan and Lyndsey played dress up...

Alex read Reagan's favorite book to her, "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?"

Alex and Uncle Keith watched the Syracuse basketball game...

Reaggie tasted a powdered donut and loved it!

We went to Jumping Beans!

Reagan and Olivia played with each other and gave lots of "love taps!"

Right before the Zubers hit the road on Saturday night, I got all four Kepplinger cousins on the steps to take a picture...this is the best I could do!  Reagan was soo sleepy and just not so in the mood for smiling :)

We had so much fun with the Zuber clan!  Let's just say it is VERY quiet around our house this morning.  The weather cooperated nicely and to them it felt like a nice little spring getaway.
We will be up in April for Easter and are already preparing ourselves for the tundra!

A Friendly Plug...

Many of you know my dearest, bestest friend, Ellen!  She is not only an amazing friend, mommy, and wife...but is a regular WHIZ when it comes to creating cute things, especially for the little ones!  Elle started a little etsy shop a couple months ago and has everything adorable!  She has spoiled Reagan rotten by sending her little adorable creations all the time!!  This is just a SMALL sampling of her amazing work!
Just thought if you are having a baby, knows someone that is, or you want to get something cute for your baby, that you might be interested in checking her out!!  :)  The Little Sweet Pea etsy shop can be found by clicking here!  Happy Shopping!!

Auntie Elle...Reaggie thanks you a
million times over for all of your
beautiful handmade goodies!! :)

Last Minute Visitors!

On Sunday we found out that Gran and Gramps were going to come visit us for the night on Monday!  They are on their way south, way south, to St. Marteen for TWO WEEKS!  (No, we aren't jealous or anything!)  To avoid some of the weather that was heading to Maryland, they left a day early to come see us!  What a great treat.  We were able to have a nice dinner together on Monday night and just play time on Tuesday all morning, until it was nappy time!

Reagan LOVES her Gigi and G-Gramps (Bailey gets all excited when they come too!) ...it's so cute!  She was having so much fun showing off to them!  Last night Gran had Reagan in an all out giggle for about five solid minutes, it was hilarious!!
Hey G-Gramps!  Can I PLEASE have one of those pens in  your pocket??
I am giving you my best smile Mom!!
This is better...I just wanted to stand up guys!!

Hope you are having a great Tuesday!  We are getting ready for Keith's sister, Kristin, her husband, Tom, and their three kids, Alex, 5, Lyndsey, 3, and Olivia, 1 to come and visit tomorrow.  Should be lots of fun!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I hope you have had a great day!  Reagan just woke up from her nap a little bit ago and Keith is giving her her bottle so I can do a little "blog catch up!"
I will start by saying I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day, but I do think it is a cute little holiday!  We have never done anything very extravagant for the holiday, but it's always just a nice little day to tell those you love how much you love them.  I got Keith and Reaggie just a couple little gifts.  One of Reagan's was a new doll, a Walgreen's special.  The child LOVES it!  She attacks the dolls face giving her kisses, or probably just eating it because that's what Reagan does :)  She got a new book, a little outfit, and a new sippy cup!  YAHOO!

Keith TOTALLY surprised me with such a thoughtful gift...he had a friend of friend, who is building Nicholas Sparks' pool, get two of my books autographed!!!!!!!  Keith had wrote specific messages for each book, but Nicholas (ha...like I know him!) wasn't there when the books were dropped off, so his assistant had to give them to him to sign.  Somewhere along the shuffle the specific messages got lost, but guess what, it doesn't matter to me at all!!  I am not a HUGE reader at all, but when it comes to a Nicholas Sparks book...I'm all over it!! :)  I was very excited!!  What a sweet Valenine I have ;)

Overall it was a very laid back day, but wonderful!  We had a great breakfast...eggs, french toast, bacon, yum!  Reaggie even made Daddy a big heart shaped blueberry muffin!  She helped pour in the milk and stir...pretty cute, but of course I couldn't take my eyes off of her to take a picture or we would have had quite the mess!!

We are getting ready to make some cut out sugar cookies, one of Keith's favorites!  Reagan is going to help us, we'll see how that goes!!  Then a delicious dinner with the hubs tonight at this great little quaint place, have you heard of it, "Casa de Kepplinger."  ha!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Busy Girl!

Miss Reagan has been a VERY busy girl lately!  She is rolling and scooting backwards EVERYWHERE!  GONE are my days of just sitting her somewhere to play and she isn't even forward crawling yet!  She has discovered underneath of her jumperoo and it is pretty much just as exciting as being in it!  She was scooting backwards on Friday afternoon and ended up under the ottoman!  ha!  Reaggie wasn't exactly sure why she couldn't scoot back anymore!

Eight Month Pictures!

Sweet girl!

On Sunday I took Reagan to get her eight month pictures taken.  I have to admit we tried Portrait Innovations again and this experience was MUCH better!!  I specifically told them about my bad experience last time and they assured me I would not have the same photographer...phew!

Keith got Reagan's new car seat all situated in the car before she and I left.  We just couldn't get over how big she looked!  I mean the infant seat is done with...goodness knows we got our moneys worth on that though!! :)

At Reaggie's four month pictures she and I got a picture together, so four months later I thought we'd do it again.  My sweet little girl!

Nice Little Saturday...

This weekend we decided since it was going to be rainy that we would paint the dining room.  The dining room is the only room in the house that has had NOTHING done to it.  We have furniture in there, but other than that, NOT-TA!  When we built our house we chose a tan-ish color as the color for the all of the walls.  It is great to have non-white walls, but you do need to add a little color here and there!

Keith had finished taping and it was time to paint...
Yup!!  We went for "pomegranate red."  It looks AWESOME!!!
We STILL have a couple places to touch up, as red isn't the easiest color to paint, so the furniture is not back in the dining room yet!!  As we get it all pulled together I will update, but here is the color!!
While Daddy was finishing up painting someone just HAD to keep the baby girl occupied!
A little Valentine's Day sneak peak! :)

Keith had a friend from his BB&T program come on Saturday night.  They went out with a few guys to watch a fight...Reaggie and I hung out at home! :)

New Car Seat!

Check this girl out!!  I finally caved earlier this week and ordered Reagan her "big girl" car seat!  I can hardly believe it is time to switch her over, however, it will be a lot easier to get her in and out of the car this way.  That infant seat was AMAZING to take in and out, but now that she wants to be in the cart or stroller wherever we go, it was time!

It was delivered yesterday and as soon as I got it out of the box Reagan was reaching for it, of course to stand against it, so I put her in and she loved it!  Yesterday she just sat in it for like five minutes :)  haha!  Today it kind of lost it's excitement, but I needed a picture!

Next step, moving it into my car and out of the family room!

Eight Months!!

I can hardly believe that Reagan is EIGHT MONTHS old today. Seriously!? Only four more months and she will be ONE! Time REALLY does fly when you are having fun!

Reagan is getting busier and busier by the day! She loves to play with her toys and if there is something she can't reach, to her belly she goes and she will kind of army crawl to it or roll until she gets there. I had my cell phone on the floor of the family room the other day, I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, came back in the family room and Reagan was halfway across the room getting my phone! The girl is quick!!

She is still trying to crawl, but isn't quite there yet. I have to say that I'm NOT complaining at all about that! I am excited for when she can move around more, but enjoying her semi-stationary-ness! :)

We are going to start "breakfast" now. I have still been giving her a morning bottle when she wakes up, but I think it is time for oatmeal and fruit! I can't believe it!! I will miss our morning ba-ba time watching our adorable Matt Lauer.

Reagan is a ticklish girl and loves to be upside down and thrown in the air. She is so social too!  Whenever we are out and people come up to her she'll just smile at them and "ahh, ahh, ahh."  She is a wild child, which means mommy and daddy need to watch out!!
Reaggie is so independent. She does a GREAT job playing with toys by herself or even entertaining herself lying on her back on the floor. When she gets really tired she likes to have someone with her all the time, but other than that she is on her own!

STANDING is the new favorite thing to do!! She always wants to be standing...holding onto the sofa, the ottoman, the coffee table, the kitchen chair, the bar stool, her crib, my drawers in my closet, you name it, the girl loves to stand! :) She has even stood for a second or two on her own, but I am in denial about that, so it doesn't really count!
The newest tricks are peek a boo and waving bye bye and hi! :)  It's so cute!!  She loves to play peek a boo with a blanket over her face and then pull it down when someone says, "Where's Reagan?!"  She gets the biggest kick out of that!

We just continue to be blessed with such a sweet, happy, healthy baby. She is an amazing baby, seriously! When I call her my angel girl, she really is. Last week I was trying to remember the last time she cried...it's amazing!  She just giggles all the time and has smiles that will melt your heart.

Happy EIGHT MONTH Birthday baby girl!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stats:

Reagan weighs ABOUT 22 or 23 pounds!!

Reagan is ABOUT 27 1/2 inches tall!

Reagan is wearing 12 month clothes very comfortably now!

Reagan is in a size 3 diaper, but probably not for too much longer! :)

Next month we go to the doctor for her NINE month check up! I will be anxious to see official stats then!

Twilight!

I realize I am about five years passed due, but when I was out and about on Thursday I finally bought the first Twilight book.  I have heard all this hype about them being so good and I am in the mood for a good book, so I thought I'd give it a shot!  Have you read the series?  What do you think!?

What's This?!

Oh one day Reagan will LOVE me for posting this picture!  haha!  My mom gave Reagan strawberries in her little "mesh eater" the night of my birthday dinner.  We were all eating yummies, so why shouldn't Reagan have too!?  Well she didn't know what to think at first, but did start going to town on them after a few tastes!  It was pretty humerous.  Reagan is also really starting to enjoy her puffs!  I have to say they make me a little nervous, but she knows to "chew" them.  I guess this is what happens when you are almost EIGHT months old!!

Snow Days!

Well over the weekend you would have thought we got a blizzard in the state of North Carolina, however, it was only a few inches and some ice.  This was enough though to close down the state all day Saturday and slow things down Sunday and cancel schools today!  (My prediction is tomorrow too, but I don't know!)
The snow was so pretty and it started on Friday night.  With my mom and John here the plan was for Keith and I to go out on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, but that just didn't happen!  Not only were the roads in our neighborhood untouched, still haven't been, but everything and their mother was closed!! :)  It's okay though because we had a great little Saturday and a delicious steak dinner!  Thank you mom and John! :)
Bailey's new favorite spot...in front of the snuggie fireplace!

We all just hated having to spend all this time inside playing with Reagan...I mean she is just a miserable baby that is not cute at all..HAHAHAHA!!!  We all loved it!!  We had so much fun with her and man oh man does Reaggie LOVE her Mum-Mum!  Not one thing she did made her sad, in fact everything she did made her LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH!! :)
Keith and I were able to sneak out on Saturday and Sunday to sled down the road in front of our house.  We do live at the bottom of a hill, so it became the neighborhood spot to sled!  I was so nervous with all the kids going down and about to plow into mailboxes, but they did fine! :)  It was a lot of fun!!
We did get to go out yesterday for a little big to see "The Blind Side" and go out to dinner.  We weren't gone too long because we didn't want the roads to be too bad, but it was nice to be out.  I honestly have NO idea what the last movie was Keith and I saw together, but this one was GREAT!!!  We loved it!  What an awesome story!!  If you haven't seen it yet, it's a MUST see!!

My mom and John left this morning and Keith had to go to work, not until 11 though.  So it's back to just Reaggie and I hanging out :)  I took her out in the snow for a little bit today because it is in the 40's, HEAT WAVE!  She didn't really have a clue about it, but did like the taste of it!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Happy Monday :)
