Holy Hotness

Today was HOT!  It didn't help that the power went out at school today for almost two hours...I was about to pull the "I'm pregnant and can't stay in this heat" card, but then it came back on.  Oh well!

So Reagan is definitely almost two...after I picked her up at Wendy's today I thought it would be fun to go get some ice cream.  We went to a little ice cream shop and I got her a vanilla cone with sprinkles.  She was so excited.  PROBLEM is that she doesn't get the whole "lick around the edges" concept and I was trying to help her with that.  In doing so I guess I took off a few too many sprinkles for her liking and she threw a FIT!  I was pretty thrilled with that...I did that a couple times and finally got the ice cream down to the cone for her to eat that and she was upset then because there were NO sprinkles left.  At this point tears are streaming everywhere...this was supposed to be fun!  She calmed down a little, I let her have her ice cream for about another two minutes and then it went in the trash.  Meltdown #3...she survived though and we headed out to the car.  It was just time to get home!

We got home and my "to do" list is rather lengthy, one item being to clean out her water table.  Considering it was about 99* today, I thought this would be a good little project.  Reagan was having so much fun...she got all "nakey" and splashed and splashed.  She then remembered or thought that she should sit in the water table and it was a fun game to get in and out of it...made me nervous, but she was fine.

It is to be in the 90's for the next atleast 7 days...all I can say is THANK GOODNESS for air conditioning and lightweight dresses! :)

Long Weekends...

...are WONDERFUL!!!

Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you all had a great weekend :)

Last week was just one of those weeks, especially the beginning of it.  However, it got better as the week went on...thank goodness!

Have I mentioned that Reagan wants to wear a dress EVERY day?! :)

She insisted on making a crown on Thursday night...I have NO idea where this idea came from, so we made a make shift...ha!  Please don't judge the lack of creativity, it made her happy! :)

Here's a new belly shot for you...that was at 31 1/2 weeks.  I will be 32 weeks on Tuesday and more than one person this weekend said to me, "and there is just one in there?!"  This is a family blog, so I won't say what I wanted to say back to them... :)

Friday night was relax night for me!  Keith went to our neighborhood party, but I was home with a sleeping Reagan working on party preparations...less than one week and we will have a TWO year old!

Saturday morning we started with errands.  The first being to buy Reagan her "big girl" mattress!!  I was in such denial while we were shopping around for it!  We got a good one though and Reagan LOVED trying out the different big girl beds.  She tells us, "baby seep (sleep) in cib (crib)."  I am crossing my fingers that in a couple weeks when we are transitioning, it's a smooth one!

Her favorite part of the mattress store...the rocking horse!

We ran a few more errands before we came home for lunch and naps.  After Reaggie's nap we were off to Liam's birthday party.  He turned 2 and had a baseball party...I did not take one picture and then left my camera at their house, so therefore didn't get pictures at the next party we were off to at Heather and Bret's house.  Reagan was a party animal and had so much fun at both parties!!  We were close to Pottery Barn Kids on Saturday night, so we popped in to pick up a couple things for little man's room.  I am SO excited for it all to come together!

On Sunday we ran to the store and then to the Mill's for their annual Memorial Day party.  Again, Reagan was a party animal and loved playing with everyone!  (Although you wouldn't know it by her look in the picture!)  We stayed there until nap time and came home and then met everyone at the pool Sunday afternoon.

Today has been a busy, but very productive day!  I ran some errands this morning, so Keith and Reagan were off to the park.  She was WAY excited to go swing.  Keith said he probably pushed her for an hour on the swing :)  ha!  I think I did 10 loads of laundry today, including sheets, pillow shams, and duvets on all of the beds.  (By all that is 3, including Reagan's crib.)  I worked on party stuff, made dinner, and then got a pedicure...oh it was wonderful!  I got home in time to put my sweetness to bed too.  (I also busted out my new fancy camera that I have had for a couple months and have been too scared to use...I am kind of obsessed!!  I love it and how quickly it snaps pictures...now I just need to learn how to really use it!  Hence why there are so many pictures from today!)

Could just eat her up!!

Enjoying a delicious Dora popsicle after dinner

Overall...a great weekend!  I'm looking forward to a short week with family starting to come in on Wednesday for the BIG CELEBRATION this weekend!!  I can't wait and seriously, Reagan is beyond excited!

Sweet Thing

This week has had a bit of a rocky start, but everything seems to be leveling out...everything always works out just the way it is supposed to!  This sweet little thing has certainly helped to keep a smile on our faces that is for sure!

Fun and Busy Weekend!

(FYI...the Mother's Day post now has pictures!  FINALLY have our computer back!)

On Friday after school I was on the road to Myrtle Beach, SC for my sweet friend Hillary's bachelorette party!  It had been way too long since I had seen her, so I was pretty excited!

We had a great weekend!  We started on Saturday morning with 3 of the girls running in a 5K, which is an activity only Hill would love to do :)  The other 3 of us were the cheerleaders!  The rest of the day was spent on the beach, soaking up some sun and relaxing.  It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend, which was wonderful!

Looking cute after the race!

Posing with the "cow"

Saturday night we had dinner at the house and then had a little shower for Hill.  It was such a great night!  We headed out on the town around my normal bedtime, but was feeling pretty good.  The only bummer is that there is still smoking in bars in SC, so this pregnant momma didn't last too long because of that...gross!  It was just so fun to celebrate Hillary's upcoming wedding!!

Starks, Hill, and I

The whole crew

Sweet Hill and I (holy wide load!!)

On Sunday morning I was up and at em to meet Keith and Reaggie in Wrightsville Beach.  We had promised Reagan a beach day before the "baby come."  This seemed like the perfect weekend/time to do it!

Checking things out...

LOVING the ocean...seriously, LOVING it!  Reagan kept saying "here comes" meaning that the "waves" were coming!

Digging, digging, digging

She probably filled that blue bucket up a hundred times!!  So cute :)

Checking out the ocean with Daddy...he was on "chase" patrol!

Fun Game #1:  Find a cool seashell and run up to put it in her bucket...she ran back and forth a million times!

Fun Game #2:  Get hands covered and sand and then run to the ocean to rinse them off, repeat a million times!

Reagan LOVED the beach and we are so glad she did!  When we first walked on she was hesitant to walk on the sand, but that lasted about 2 seconds.  She loved digging, the ocean, running, everything about the beach she loved, which is SO exciting!!  We can't wait to take her again.  Oh...here was a classic line of the day, Reagan kept saying "go to China" when she looked at the ocean.  I said who lives in China and her response, "Kai-Lan."  In one of the episodes they had to cross the ocean to get to China....haha...it was TOO funny!

It's 8:30 and Keith is already in bed...I am about to follow!  It was a GREAT weekend, just A)not long enough and B) went by too quickly!  Next weekend is Memorial Day already, WOW and then the next weekend is Reagan's SECOND birthday!!  Hope you had a great weekend!

Future Teacher?

Last Monday Reagan came to school with me for about thirty minutes because I thought I had a doctor's appointment that morning....LONG story short, wound up not being until Thursday and Wendy needed us to keep Reags home that morning, SO she was at school for a bit...(follow?!) :)

Anyway...she LOVED being in my lovely little trailer!  She colored a pretty picture and used stickers, she drew on the chalk board, wore my lanyard, and said she was a "teacher."  It was pretty cute!

The other day I had out my Elon tumbler cup and I asked Reagan what it said.  She didn't know, but I told her Elon.  We said "GO ELON!"  I asked her if she wanted to go to Elon for college and she said "Elon be teacher."  Kind of melted my heart :)

Low Key Weekend

We still do not have our computer back...it is slightly driving me crazy because there is plenty I need to be doing to get ready for Reagan's birthday party...however, apparently we had a pretty nasty virus on our computer and the guys have had to run multiple tests on it.  Lovely!

Our week and weekend have been good...nothing too exciting to report.  Reagan started with a cold on Tuesday night, which resulted in about three hours of sleep for she and I...always fun.  She seems to be on the up now though, so we are happy about that!

Our weekend has been pretty low key, but that is always wonderful.  Keith took Reagan to swim lessons on Saturday morning and they even went to the outside pool for a little bit.  Keith said she LOVED LOVED LOVED it!  (just like last year, but can do more this year, since she is more stable, taller, and older!)  I had a million errands to run, so I did that Saturday morning.  We had Parker's 2nd birthday party on Saturday afternoon and my camera battery was DEAD...sooo sad.  It was so cute though and Reagan had so much fun!  Parker had an Elmo party...kids and their character love! :)  It was great to see the Davis'...we hadn't seen them in WAY too long!

Today has been a relaxing Sunday...we all took naps, Reags is still snoozing.  Love these days!  I am itching ot get started on Baby Boy K's nursery, however that means moving lots of furniture around and moving Reagan into a big girl bed...so it will just have to wait a few more weeks.  Oh and if anyone has a Pottery Barn (kids) discount connection, hook a friend up! :)  There is way too much I NEED (notice key word NEED) and am sweating at how much everything is going to cost...I need a money tree in the backyard ASAP.

Hope you've had a great weekend!  Today my brother is graduating from Denison University in Ohio and I am so proud of him!!  Congrats Michael!!  We can't wait to celebrate with you soon!!!

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day yesterday!
I woke up to lots of snuggles from Reagan.  We snuggle every morning in bed together, but it was almost an hour yesterday...the perfect way to start the day!  Keith made a delicious breakfast for us, Reagan got Mickey Mouse pancakes (which she thought was too cool) and I had hearts.  Keith even went to my fave local donut place to get me a couple delicious treats...have I mentioned I am on track to gain 100 pounds this pregnancy!? :)

After breakfast we hung out, played dress up, Keith vacummed out my car, did a little yard work, we played outside, and then went out to lunch and got ice cream.  I can't believe I didn't bring my camera with me, but Reagan REALLY enjoyed her "nilla ice ceam cone."  It was too cute!

Reags took a great nap (and so did I!) and then we took a quick family field trip to the grocery store.  They are always fun (do you sense my scarsasm....), but it was fine this time!  We came home, Keith cooked us a yummy steak dinner, Reags went to bed, and we had a delish Oreo pie for dessert.

It was a wonderful day and I feel so blessed to be a mommy.  I always knew I wanted to be a mom, but it is a million times better than I ever could have imagined.  I am so thankful that we have our little man on the way and I get to be the mommy of TWO!!  I mentioned to Keith yesterday that 2 years ago I was pregnant with Reagan on Mother's Day, last year I had Reagan, this year I have Reagan and am pregnant, next year I'll have Reagan and Little Man, so the next year will I be pregnant again??...he answered very quickly "NO!"  haha...we'll see about that! :)

I hope all of the moms had a wonderful day!!  Much love to my mom and my Gran!!  :)

23 Months

One month from today, my baby girl will be TWO!  I remember thinking last year, just one more month and she will be one...that feels like yesterday!

Please note all of the accessories...backpack, sunglasses, princess necklace, bracelet, flip flops, and book...busy girl :)

Reagan is so funny and is talking up a storm.  She loves to read, color, sing songs, play outside (there is always a battle of coaxing her to get in the house!), run around, watch Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and play with her toys!

Here are some of the things I have been keeping a list of that Miss Reagan has started in the last month-ish:
* When I'm driving she will sometimes say, "be careful mommy."  (ha!  I am not a terrible driver, I don't think so anyway, but when we were in PA a couple weeks ago my dad told me to "be careful" and now she'll even tell me "Gampa say be careful Mommy."  Cracks me up!)
* She is a lover, but has recently started even giving us kisses on the cheek!
* She is FINALLY telling us "wuv you" and it MELTS us!!!
* She is really starting to talk on phone more and more...Keith has been working late a lot and he likes to say hi to her on the phone and they will have a good 30 second conversation :)
* She is FLYING up the stairs before I even realize she isn't downstairs anymore...she will still wait for us to go down the steps though...thankfully!
* She loves to be outside, sweeping, riding her bike, coloring with chalk, putting out blocks, pushing toys, running around, throwing a ball, buckling herself in her wagon, picking flowers, swinging at Mo-Mo's, rocking on the front porch, whatever!
* The tantrums are fun, especially since she has started SCREAMING "NO!!" at the TOP of her lungs...she isn't even 2...
* She loves to change her baby's diapers (she will be SO helpful in a couple months!)
* Of course she is in love with Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and the Disney Princesses
* She loves to sing!  Her favorites now are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy Birthday (still to Uncle Mike!), Itsy Bitsy Spider, the ABC's, and Jesus Loves Me (I love when she says "Bi-bull tell me so")
* I think one night I was changing her diaper and she opened the new diaper for me and I said "good thinkin' Lincoln"...she now says that about several things...hilarious!
*  When she is counting on her own to get ready to do something, she will say...1,2,8,11.  ha!  I love it!
* She loves to take about 50 books off of her bookshelf, place them on her ottoman, read the books, and then toss them into a pile next to her rocking chair.  She loves to read!!  However, does NOT love to clean up her books...maybe someday?!

That is the latest on Reagan!  She wanted to stand on the scale at the doctor's office on Monday and she was 30 pounds.  She is growing quickly and in just about all 2T or 3T clothes!  (I did put her in a 24 month outfit today though and it fits, so she is all over the place!)  She wears a size 8 shoe from Target, although her sneakers are a 9!  She has a big foot like her momma!  Maybe next year she'll be able to wear Rainbows!

Dora party planning is in FULL effect!  I can't wait :)  I have even started thinking about baby boy's first birthday theme, NOT that I am rushing that AT ALL!!

We love you Reaggie Mae!  (which is how she refers to herself)  One more month and you will be TWO!!!!

28 Weeks

Well HELLO third trimester!!  Can you believe it?  I know we can't believe that we are getting closer and closer to July...little man will be here before we know it!

Yesterday I went to the doctor to have my monthly check-up, glucose test, and an ultrasound.  Wendy's son actually had a high fever, so Reags got to come with me.  She was a very good girl, especially considering we were there for so long!  I was dreading having to wait an hour to have my blood drawn for the glucose test, but it was so fun running into a girl I used to work with at New Hope and my friend Carrie!  I NEVER see anyone I know, so to see 2 friends was very fun.  (Carrie is about to have #2 in a couple weeks and Sara is due a week after me.)

Don't you see Reagan in this picture??  I guess this means another one of my children that will look nothing like their mommy!

The ultrasound went really well yesterday.  I was a little nervous because at my 20 week ultrasound they noticed that my placenta was close to my cervix and wanted to keep an eye on it to see if I would need a c-section or not.  Turns out, the placement of everything looks good.  I asked the doctor about it and she said it wouldn't hurt to do another ultrasound at about 36 weeks just to make sure...don't have to tell me twice.  It was really fun to have Reagan there because she got to see her baby brother on the tv in the ultrasound room.  She was soo good and thought he looked "cute."  ha!  I really am glad she was able to be there.

I am measuring at 29 weeks, even though I am 28 today.  That is fine by me though and after a little "check" the good news is I'm not dialated.  (thank goodness!)  Now I am just waiting on the results of my glucose test and hoping everything looks good there.  I go back in two weeks now...I can't even believe it!  (Have I mentioned that yet?)

Happy May!

It is hard to believe that it is MAY already...time is flying!!  We had another great, busy weekend!

Posing before we left one morning!  Please note:  she is OBSESSED with these and all other forms of flip flops!

We started with Reagan and I have a "date night" at McDonald's on Friday night and then heading over to Morgan's t-ball game!  She did great and Reaggie LOVED watching Mo-Mo and Daddy D :)  She ran all over the place and it wore that girl out!!

Very interested in the Oreo Mo-Mo shared with her :)

Reaggie's new love...DRIVING!

Saturday morning we were up and at 'em!  Keith had an 8am soccer game, so we was out of the house earlier than he is for work everyday and Reagan had her swim lessons.  We had fun swimming and splashing around.  We came home and I got ready for a fun day celebrating Baby Evelyn Greene with a baby shower!!  It was so fun and all came together great :)  Heather (aka Taxis) got lots of great stuff for her little Greenebean :)

The hostesses with the Momma To Be!

Momma looking precious and looking at "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" (a favorite in our house!)

Today has been errands, playing, cleaning, cooking, folding laundry...you know, the normal Sunday stuff!  Tomorrow morning I have my glucose test and an ultrasound...praying that everything is looking great!

Hope you had a great weekend!!
