A New Chair

Landon got a VERY belated birthday present in the mail yesterday!  I had set aside money from his birthday (which was August 2) to get him a Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair.  Reagan LOVED hers and Landon LOVED sitting in her pink one.  I kept looking at it to buy him, but the shipping is OUT.of.CONTROL!  $29 just to ship it!  Now, I HATE paying shipping...I will haggle or enter whatever codes I can when doing online shopping to avoid shipping, so $29 was outragous to me!  Clearly PBK never puts the chairs on sale either, so I just kept waiting and waiting.  Oh and the other kicker was this chair, with the piping, was online only, so I couldn't just go to the store and get one b/c I had to have THIS one and then I would have had to pay for monogramming...yada yada yada...you have no idea what a process this was :)  ANYWAY...on Black Friday "the" email arrived...Anywhere Chairs were $20 off!!  An UNHEARD of PBK deal!  SO I ordered right away...and it made me feel like the shipping was only $9!  Needless to say I'm so glad I ordered because when this bad boy arrived yesterday, a certain almost 16 month old in this house was SUPER excited!!

of course he climbed right onto it

loving his OWN chair!

My new favorite picture...such a sweet, sweet man and why does he look 5 in this picture?!
(I love that now they put a little "picture" on the chair too...back in Reagan's day it was only the name!)

Reagan, obviously, had to bring her chair down from her room too!

I love these little blonde heads watching TV together (Landon does NOT sit and watch TV, but he will sit through the songs of Dora, Little Einsteins, Mickey, whenever there is music)

This was TOO cute!  He grabbed Reaggie's blankey and put it on himself, like he wanted to get all snuggled up like he sees his sister do

SO his pillow and blankey were then brought downstairs so he could snuggle too!

Landon man was pretty excited about that!

Love this...same chair, same pillow, same blankey :)  My precious peanuts!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

After a little shopping on Friday morning (which I didn't even leave until about 7:30, got what I wanted, no lines, great parking...all the super crazies were there at 2am!!) it was time to get out the Christmas decorations!  I love to decorate for Christmas and love the house at night when the lights are on.  By Saturday afternoon everything was up, lights were outside, we just needed our tree!

Sunday morning Keith took the kiddos out for a couple hours (if that!) to do a little shopping.  Reagan and Landon picked out something for me, but R is keeping her lips sealed!

She HAD to wear her new Christmas dress from Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop!

Then insisted Landon also wear a Christmas shirt too...

He was happy about it!

Once they got back we loaded up and went to get our Christmas tree. The place where we go is just over a mile from our house, but we've had the best luck there the past couple years...and they deliver the tree to our house!

Someone was excited!

As was this girl :)

Checking out these things we call "Christmas trees"

Annual family picture in front of our tree

Snacking after his nap...it is no longer ok to just put a few things on his tray, he prefers the whole box or bag of whatever he's munching on!

Putting on the star!

Our finished product!!

Thanksgiving 2012

Happy Thanksgiving!  We had such a great day!  The weather was nice and with my Gran's help, we successfully made a pretty tastey dinner!

Reagan made the sweet turkeys for everyone's place setting!  Thank you Pinterest for the idea and the craft activity that my daughter LOVES to have...daily ;)

Playing outside...swinging with Gramps!

Sweet Opa, Keith's dad, drove all night from Rochester to be here for Thanksgiving with us!

Reagan was SO cute helping in the kitchen!  We all had aprons on at one point and she kept saying over and over and OVER again how we were all chef girls making a feast :)  She loved being a helper!

Helping Opa with a crossword puzzle

Deep frying the turkey!  Let me tell you, this is the WAY to go if you're hosting a holiday!  My oven was FREE all day and the men were occupied for awhile outside :)  Not to mention it was DELICIOUS!  Thank you Davis' for letting us borrow your fryer!

Lovely Reagan asked Opa for a dance...

So sweet!

I was just a little busy after that point to take any pictures, but we had a yummy dinner and ate just a few minutes after 4, with the E.T.E. (estimated time of eating) being 4, so we did well!  We had a great time!  We played a little game of Thanksgiving Trivia, which Keith won and then had dessert.  We sang Happy Birthday to Opa since his birthday is next week.

It was such a great day and we are so thankful to have had family and a friend here to share the day with us!  We were thankful to not have to travel, but it was different not being with the normal crew :)

I am pretty thankful for these two turkeys too...I sure love them to pieces!!

And since we weren't with all of our family, everyone got a little something in the mail!  We had quite the coloring marathon one afternoon :)

Busy Week!

Last Sunday kicked off our Thanksgiving week!  Reags and I first met up with two of my former students, that were in my class my first year teaching.  They are SENIORS in high school now...how on earth did that happen?!?!  Anyway...it was SO great to catch up with such sweet girls!  Reagan was a trooper through all of our chit chat :)  When we finished with lunch I took R to Build a Bear as a special treat to make a Clarice reindeer.  She had so much fun!  THEN we were off to the airport to pick up Gigi!!!!

I had a couple returns to Carter's on our way home and someone picked up some new gloves!

Gigi did lots of reading with the kiddos!

A super cute movie was on Disney, Princess Sophia...Reagan dressed up Gigi for the occassion!

Landon is OBSESSED with "Spot Loves His Daddy" and "Spot Loves His Mommy"  We have read them probably 1,000 times...he is also a fan of the "Biscuit" books :)

Monday morning was Reagan's Thankful Feast and little program at school.  It was so sweet!!  The kids did such a great job.  As I've mentioned, her teacher is so good...she wanted the kids to have matching turkey shirts...I didn't get a picture of the back, but there were adorable feathers!

Singing the blessing

SO precious!

R had an early bath on Monday afternoon, since Gran and I were running out that night to get all of our Thanksgiving supplies!  Reagan convinced Gigi she needed her nails painted...poor Gran doesn't look all too comfy, but it worked :)

We picked up donuts for the kids while we were out for breakfast on Tuesday!

Tuesday was our slow morning...we finally ventured out around 10:30 and headed to the park.  We were pretty much the only ones there, which was nice!  We got Chick Fil A for lunch and then came home...Gramps arrived that afternoon and Reagan just had to show him Princess Sopia, which is on the Disney Junior App.

...please note Bailey!

Nice hat huh!?  Makes her Daddy and Gigi proud :)

Wednesday we had our family pictures taken, which there is NO telling how they turned out.  Landon wanted NOTHING to do with it and it was cold, especially in the shade which is where most of our pictures were taken.  Hopefully we got something...  We ventured out to lunch after that and then home to begin more preperations for our big Thanksgiving feast!
