Rehoboth Week!

We had our last big hoorah at the beach from August 13-19!  The weather couldn't have been better and it was just such a fun trip!

We were playing on the boogie board and her finger got sliced on the rope...it was a catastrophe, but thankfully the lifeguards had band-aids we were were back in business!

Reagan LOVED getting IN, IN the ocean!!

Landon still loves jumping in the surf!

My dad, Diane, and JJ came down for the day on Saturday!  We hung out by the pool and went out to dinner!

Sunday Mum-Mum, Pop-Pop, Gigi, and Gramps came down for a couple days to celebrate my mom's birthday!

Reagan chowing down on Gigi's icing!

Go Gran Go!
(Slight heart attack this day with Reagan...she had something in her pee pee that morning - TMI, sorry - but it made me so nervous.  Thankfully, we're pretty sure it was just sand and she was feeling fine!)

Our last night we did some pictures on the beach!

It was another fun trip to Rehoboth!  It was great to have so many people come visit us :)  We're hoping to maybe get one more little weekend in before the coldness of fall/winter sets in!

The Start of...5 Activities to do Before Kindergarten!

A couple weeks ago Reagan and I made a list of FIVE things she would like to do before Kindergarten starts!

Activity #1 - Herr's Factory
Last Wednesday we met Amy with Anna and Brady at the Herr's Potato Chip Factory for a tour to cross our first item off!  It's a great tour of the factory and the fresh, HOT off the press potato chips are the highlight!  Of course you exit the tour into the "gift shop" area where there are more chips than you know what to do with and you buy them as though you can't at the grocery store :)  They do have an "Oops" wall that has perfectly good chips/pretzels/popcorn that have defective packaging for 17 cents, so it's hard to not feel the need to stock up! We had lunch after the tour and then got some ice cream.  It's always a good time with these sweet friends!

We went back to Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop's after the tour and spent the next two nights there.  After dinner the kiddos HAD to help Mum-Mum make icing for the cupcakes!

Activity #2 - Boomer's
Thursday was Boomer's day, which is an indoor play area with games and climby things.  The kiddos had a blast!

After Boomer's we went to good old McDonald's for lunch and then home for Landon to nap.  Two of Reagan's friends from ballet were going to Boomer's that afernoon, so Reagan and I went back for MORE fun.  We stayed there for about an hour, headed back to Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop's in time for me to get ready to meet Heather for dinner and a massage, and the kids went back AGAIN with Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop!  Everyone slept GREAT that night! :)

What I should have suggested Reagan add to her list, but didn't...
On Friday we rode on the Wilmington Western Railroad!  It was very fun, a beautiful train ride that dropped us off at a picnic area for lunch, and then headed on back.  The weather couldn't have been nicer!

Saturday we had birthday party central...again.  ALL of our neighbors seem to have kids with summer birthdays, it's been so fun though.  We had a 1st birthday party and an 8th birthday party AND Reagan even slept over with Bella, the 8 year old, and two of her friends Saturday night.  They didn't fall asleep until midnight and were up by 6:30...let's just say Sunday was a challenging day around here with a bedtime promptly at 7:15!

 Activity #3 - Movies
Today we took advantage of the free movie at the movie theater.  I have been wanting to take the kids all summer, but we have not been able to make one of them.  Last week we tried to go, but they sold out of tickets before I could pick them up!  The movie today was "Nut Job" and it really wasn't that good...Landon was scared and can't sit though a movie, but we lasted through the whole thing.  Atleast we made it and can cross it off the list :)

Our sweet neighbors came too...Colleen (with Liam on her lap), Melanie, Jamison, and the Landons

Reags and Bella behind us

It is a rainy, rainy day today (great day for a movie!) and the girls wanted to continue their fun, so Bella came over for a couple hours to play.  They play SO very sweetly together...they didn't even get mad at me for busting in on their fun to pack Reagan for the beach :)

We still have 2 things left on our list to get done before Kindergarten starts in just a week and a half!!!!!!!  We are at the beach for a week, come home to meet the teacher and the 25th will be here before we know it!  This summer has just FLOWN by, but you know I'm looking forward to fall and all the fun it brings too!
