B-U-S-Y!!

This past week has FLOWN!  Keith was home with Reagan on Monday and that was the same day that Gran and Gramps flew in and Heinz left...Keith was a taxi driver on his day off! :)  Since Monday our week has been packed with stuffy noses (for ALL of us!), visiting with family, and just being BUSY!!

Gigi reading Reagan her "Corduroy's Halloween" book from Aunt Di!  Thank you!!  She LOVES it!  We have read this book about 1,000 times this past week :)

Gramps listening intently!

Wednesday was the day we picked up my mom from the airport, so we stopped for some breakfast at Bob Evans on the way! :)

Again reading Corduroy, now with Mum-Mum

Peek-a-boo!

The weather this past weekend could not have been prettier!  It was perfect, not a cloud in the sky and low 70's.  On Saturday, after Reagan decided she needed NO nap?!, we went to Hill Ridge Farms again.  We went last year and obviously Reagan was too little to really "do" anything, so this year was a LOT more exciting!

This family shot sums up how Reags was feeling without a nap... :)

Reagan loved the little sand area...threw a fit when we left...

Reagan loved the tee-pee....threw a fit when we left...

Reagan loved the Hay Tunnel...threw a fit when we left...

She loved the hayride too...can you tell?! :)

We'll cut her some slack because she has had another cold and a VERY runny, stuffy nose...and she's just pretty darn cute!

Reagan did LOVE the pumpkins though!  She got to pick out one for each of us!

So strong!

After we got home from our Saturday adventure, Keith and I went OUT!  We had a little date night and Reagan got to go to bed a little early thanks to Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop! :)

Sunday we were up and at 'em and off to the NC State Fair!  It was so fun!  We enjoyed lots of food; deep fried snickers, deep fried pb&j,  bbq, chili, turkey legs, kettle corn, ice cream, hot dogs, cheesesteaks...seriously, you name it, we probably ate it!

Reagan was lovin' some ice cream!

Time to leave, holding hands with Daddy!

When we got home it was about an hour and half past Reagan's "normal" naptime...she has been in this funky napping pattern where she will only sleep for an hour and then wants to be rocked the rest of the time...lovely right?!  (except at Miss Wendy's...she sleeps for 3 1/2 hours there!)  ANYWAY...she took a GREAT nap today!  She was in hog heaven playing with her new Dora blow up toy that Pop-Pop bought her at the fair.  She wouldn't put it down!

So that's been our week in a nutshell...my mom and John are here until Wednesday and Miss Wendy will be back from Disney by then!  Time for my weekly statement though...."why do the weekends always go so fast?!?" :)

10/10/10

It's hard to believe that another Sunday night is here and it's time to start another week.  I am excited for this week though...I LOVE having things to look forward to!  Gran and Gramps fly in tomorrow morning and Keith is able to pick them up since Columbus Day is a "bankers holiday."  (SOOOO JEALOUS!)  Keith, Reagan, Heinz (Keith's dad), Gran, and Gramps get to spend the day together tomorrow!  My mom will fly in on Wednesday and I'll be home that day to go pick her up.  Wendy and family are heading to Disney this week and into next, SO we needed reinforcements for babysitting! :)

We had a nice day today...this weather is so nice, but I am ready for it to cool down a little more!  Parker and Jeff came over this morning to play.  Parker and Reags were so cute together!  They had a lot of fun playing :)

Reagan was doing sit ups with Opa today...it was too cute!

I went to my favorite consignment sale today and got Reagan some really cute things!  I was so excited :)  I even found a little custom  made shirt/pants outfit that had an "R" monogrammed on it...LUCKY!  It's a 3T, so won't fit her for awhile, but hello it was $2.50!!!!  You can't beat that!  I came home and decided I needed to do a total clean out of her drawers, closet, wash her new stuff, and get it all organized!  Glad my one year old's closet looks nicer than mine...oh well! :)

So as I said before, I LOVE having things to look forward to...really, it keeps me sane, especially since working full time isn't my favorite thing...so I decided on 10/10/10, I would make a list of 10 things I am looking forward to as we wrap up 2010....here we go:  (in no particular order...)

1.  Celebrating all of the holidays with Reagan!  We have been practicing saying trick or treat, Reagan just says "treat."  She is going to be a pink kitty cat this year, which she just calls a "mee mee mee."  Thanksgiving will be fun with her, but I am MOST looking forward to Christmas!  She is going to have SO much fun and so are we.  The girl has more Christmas outfits already...I can't wait to start putting her in them! :)

2.  Hopefully planning a trip to St. Louis in December to see Elle and big man Connor who will be TWO!!  Oh my goodness...

3.  Visiting the newly engaged Hillary in Charlotte over her birthday weekend!!

4.  Decorating for Christmas...have I mentioned how excited I am?! :)

5.  Celebrating our 4th anniversary at the end of this month...we alternate years of "planning."  This is my year.  Any suggestions!?  I was thinking maybe doing a wine tasting at a semi-local vineyard?  This years traditional gift is flowers or fruit!

6.  Switching out my fall/winter clothes with my summer things.  I couldn't wear some of my winter things last year, since I was still trying to lose baby weight, so I am looking forward to hopefully fitting into most of it this year! :)

7.  Looking at a new car.  We have been talking about this for awhile...we both have compact cars, and as Reagan gets bigger, it will just be neccessary to get a larger vehicle.  No idea what we are getting yet, but one of these days I will be rocking a new (well most likely a used) SUV!  (Thankfully I have won the SUV battle, FINALLY!  Keith was convinced our next car would be a mini-van...I think I will like one SOME day, but NOT yet!  I'm not even 30!!!!)

8.  Listen to Reagan "talk" and read books with her.  Reading with her is one of my favorite things to do...she would sit and let you read to her forever!  She is just growing and changing so much.  Everyone says it keeps getting better and it really does...she is so fun and we just crack up together.  Her little personality just makes me smile!

9.  Getting a Yvonne haircut over Thanksgiving!  (In the 12 years she has cut my hair, I think I only disliked one haircut...she just knows what to do.)  I can't wait!!

10.  LONG Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  YAHOO!!!!

Park Playdate

What a fun little morning we had!  Keith's dad flew in yesterday to visit this weekend, more like help Keith with yard work, but they have been SO busy outside.  Reags and I played this morning, went to the grocery store, and then were off to the park to meet Katherine and Liam.  Sadly, we don't get to see them much anymore, but it was so great to catch up!  Morgan was outside when we got home from the grocery store, so we invited her to come along with us!  The weather could NOT be more beautiful!

Morgan, the mini photographer, took this picture!

This was sooo cute!  Reaggie LOVED hanging on the bar!  I think we need to get this girl signed up for gymnastics or something :)

Morgan on the HIGH bar!

Sweet friends playing! Katherine and I kept talking about how LITTLE Liam and Reags were when we first started hanging out and now they are "big" kids!

Such a fun little playdate!

Past Couple Days...

Monday - snackin'!

This was the bad night...On Wednesday night we had breakfast for dinner, because I was NOT in the mood to make lasagna like I had planned.  SO we had pancakes, fruit, bacon, and Keith made some scrambled eggs.  We gave Reagan a couple bites and I said to Keith, "I hope she's not allergic!"  She was fine that night, took a bath, went to bed, and at 9:15 I asked Keith if he would check on Reags.  He went in her room, she was sitting up, and (gross) sitting in a LOT of vomit.  Poor thing!!  I changed her and noticed some red bumps on her chest and PANICKED!!!!  Called the advice nurse to see if she might be allergic to eggs....she really didn't think so, since she was breathing fine, but wanted me to take her to the doctor in the morning.  After a very restful night's sleep, RIGHT, I called the doctor at 8:01 and took Reagan right in.  She didn't think the bumps were hives, just some kind of virus...PHEW!  The doctor said to stay home with her though just to keep an eye on her...she is fine...still has a few bumps on her tummy and legs, but I am trying not to worry since apparently this is some kind of virus.  She felt fine the whole time...was wide awake and ready to play after her vomitting in fact...love that!  We are just glad she is okay!!

Making pancakes with Mommy!

Capturing a picture of the first time eating eggs...we won't do this again for awhile!

Friday she was doing great and lookin' pretty darn cute!

It's always something right?!?!  :)

16 Months!

(sorry no pics yet!)

I was about to go lay down in bed and watch my DVR'd Dancing with the Stars, when I remembered that today is Reagan's 16 month birthday...I PROMISE I won't still be doing this when she is 42 months old :)  I just feel like I want to cherish every little second of her being little...even the fits and whining that are coming with this age!  It's just going by so quickly and she is just getting to be such a big girl...she is talking more, showing her personality, playing independently, eating more independently...but THANKFULLY still LOVES to snuggle!  Reags is so sweet giving us kisses before bed, it's so sweet and melts our hearts.

Reagan is OBSESSED with her Halloween books right now...my goodness, I think I will be dreaming about "10 Trick or Treaters" tonight.  It's sweet though, you can't be upset with a child that loves to read!

Reaggie is also talking up a storm...I can't list all of the words that she says, but she really is trying more and more to say what she wants...she said "flower" the other day and I knew just what she was saying.  She also says "bye" now really well and will wave to you and say "bye" before she gets into her little car.  Pretty sweet!

Reagan LOVES:  her babies, stuffed animals, her blanky, her binky, macaroni and cheese, fruit, taking GREAT naps at Wendy's (3 1/2 hours atleast!), going to bed between 7 and 7:30, going up and down the stairs herself, Kai Lan, reading, Morgan, snuggling with mommy (and daddy) in the morning, bananas, taking baths, Apple Jacks, Bailey, drawing with chalk, coloring with crayons, going for walks in her wagon, playing outside, putting toys on the windowsill....too many to list!

Reagan doesn't love:  having her diaper changed on her changing table, she prefers the floor, meat...if I cover the chicken in apple sauce she'll eat it, otherwise, not a huge fan.

She is just such a happy and, in our opinion, precious little girl.  I seriously say if I could have 10 like her I would, however then there are the teenage years right?! :)  We are just so blessed and there is not a night that goes by that we don't say how "stinkin' cute" something was that Reagan did.

As much as I hate hate hate leaving her everyday, it helps me to enjoy the time that we do have together that much more!  We love you so much Reaggie!!

Perfect Pumpkins

We decided today was a good day to go pick out some pumpkins and mums!  It was overcast and cool, the perfect fall day.  Before we left Reagan was having SO much fun with her stroller from Gigi and G-Gramps.  (It was a birthday gift that just got put together yesterday...she LOVES it!!)

Such a big girl!

Yesterday I got out Reagan's Halloween books that I had bought her last year, they looked brand new!  We read them, but she didn't touch them yet...

We have read each of them no less than 1,000 times this weekend and they look very "worn!"  ha!  :)  Reagan now knows that a ghost says "boo" and that the candy apples in one of the books are behind "mommas" bowls. :)

When we got to the pumpkin "patch," it was not what we expected, but we were the only ones there and the prices were right, so it turned out to be perfect.  Reagan had so much fun picking the pumpkins...I wish I would have taken a video of her moaning and groaning lifting the pumkins, it was hilarious!

She was such a big helper putting the pumpkins in the wagon all by herself!

Keith found the perfect "Daddy" pumpkin

Please notice her SOAKED pants, Reags spilled her water all overself, lovely!  Just getting over a cold, it's chilly outside, and wet pants...what can you do?

Enjoying the car ride home!

It was a fun little morning.  We can't wait to go back to the farm that we went to last year for a hay ride, the pumpkin patch, animals, the REAL deal!

Hope you had a great weekend! :)  Why do they go so fast?!?!?!  (I know, I say that every week, but seriously!)

What a Day!

Happy Saturday!  The weather today could NOT be any more beautiful!!  I have the windows open and am about to make some pumpkin bread...YUMM-O!  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the fall!!  Fall decorations were up two weekends ago and the "harvest" Yankee candle has been a burnin'!

I can hardly believe we are already in October...this means it has almost been 2 months since I have gone back to work...just 8 more to go...it also means Reags is almost 16 months old!

We had a good week this week, although it was hard getting back into the swing of things being so tired to start off the week.  Being gone for the weekend and working full time is hard...laundry was piled VERY high and then there was the grocery shopping, not to mention cooking, cleaning, and wanting to enjoy the time that I do have playing with Reagan....it all worked itself out though! :)  I went in a little late on Monday morning and then took a half day on Friday, it was a workday, so I got to be home with Reags in the morning.  MAN ON MAN, do I MISS being a full time stay at home mommy!  It was just such a wonderful day :)  I could so handle working part time, I took Reags to Miss Wendy's for her nap and picked her up when she got up, totally doable.

Do you see this?  Crazy girl!

We picked up Morgan on Monday after school and to say Reags was excited was an understatement!  She could harldy wait to play with Morgan :)

She LOVES playing with our shoes and had fun taking a couple steps in my sneaks!

Please ignore the crusty boogies, we are working on getting over a lovely little cold...this face is just so.Reagan.

Getting ready for our Friday morning of fun!

This morning I took Reagan to a park near the library, Keith has a soccer game and is going to the State game this afternoon, so it's girls day!  So the swing is huge, but Reags didn't care...she only had 2 tantrums when I took her out...ha!

Hope you have a great Saturday!!
