Catch Up and Valentine's Day

Time for a little catching up...

This sweet sugar is just getting a little too big!  He has now mastered sitting by himself and I can even leave him alone...he is REALLY starting to reach forward, SOOO I'm wondering when the whole crawling thing is going to start...not rushing it, that's for sure!

Happy Valentine's Day!! 

Valentine's Day fell the day before we left for our trip, SO I tried to have as much of our "prep" done so that I could enjoy the day with my sweeties.  Reaggie woke up to open two of her treats and Bubby got to open one...

I went to Harris Teeter on Monday night to get the last of our groceries for when we were going to be away and realized, once I got there, that my wallet was on our desk!!  To say I was mad would be an understatement, but what can you do?  THANKFULLY I had a $20 bill in my purse, so I had to do some SERIOUS budgeting at the grocery store.  I did budget $3 to buy Reaggie, Keith, and I a donut for Valentine's Day breakfast.  We were going to make pink, heart pancakes, but R decided she didn't want them, the donut was enough...fine by me!

After naps Keith arrived home with Gran and my mom to start their "vacation" of watching the kiddos for us while we went away...

It was a very fun Valentine's Day, but the anticipation for the next day was SOOO exciting!  First thing in the morning on Wednesday we were off to PUNTA CANA!!

Weekend

We had a fun, but busy weekend!! 

Friday morning Reaggie's friend came over to make some Valentine treats for their friends at school.  WHY I didn't take pictures, I'm not sure...maybe it had something to do with Landon didn't take a morning nap and we were moving at a million miles per hour!  ha :)  These girls were PRECIOUS, both wearing their Cinderella dress up dresses, jewelry, crowns, and high heels to make some pink rice krispie treats.  They both REALLY enjoyed the rice krispies, as they were poured all over our counter and then gobbled up.  Reags even pulled the "tongue trick" and once they were poured in the measuring cup, stuck her tongue out to see how many she could get on it.  Hilarious!  Even though Landon man didn't nap, for some odd reason, he was a trooper and loved watching the girls busy in the kitchen.

SNOW!!

Saturday Reagan and I went to Virginia for Morgan's 7th birthday party.  Oh my gosh, Reags was SO happy to see Mo-Mo!  It even started to snow once we got there, which little miss was a LOT excited about.  Bless her heart...she was so excited for a dusting.  I can't even imagine what she would do if we got like an inch.  It was so fun to see everyone, but it did make for a pretty long trip back to the NC state...Reaggie was out like a light and sadly, I listened to Fox News on XM with their live coverage of Whitney Houston's death.  (seriously...I remember that I had one of her RECORDS and loved her!  I remember at one of my dance recitals the BIG GIRLS were dancing to Whitney and I was so jealous.  I will also never forget one summer at Jamie's summer camp they all sang "One Moment in Time" and did the sign language to go with it...talk about a tear jerker...I was telling Keith about it the other day and started sobbing just telling him...)

by this point in the night, ALL of the girls were dressed up and had glitter all over the place!

Sunday R and I ran errands and stocked up on groceries!  I had to get my mani/pedi and then get a few more things done around the house.  We are leaving VERY SOON for our trip and CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!!!!!!

Landon did great at the doctor yesterday!  He had to get two shots and an oral vaccine.  Everything looked great!  The only concern the doctor had was for the size of his head...now of course I'm a hypochondriac, so I started tearing up.  Basically, Landon grew a LOT since his last appointment at 4 months.  His head grew the most.  She wants us to go back in 6 weeks just to make sure it hasn't grown a lot more to be sure there isn't water on the brain or anything.  Give me a heart attack!!  She really isn't concerned or we would have gone immediately to have an ultrasound, but just to be on the safe side she wants us to go back.  Keith did some research on it and neither of us think Landon sounds like he could have water on the brain, we pray that he doesn't.  I mean, look at his Daddy, he has a big head too.  Not to mention, I did give birth to him, he's had a big head from the get-go...trust me!  Other than that, Landon man is a BIG, beautiful, healthy boy that got to go to Target with mommy after his shots as a special treat. ;)

Daddy/Daughter Day

Keith and Reaggie had a fun day together yesterday.  This is my volunteer week at preschool.  Before knowing this, I had made Landon's 6 month doctor's apointment with the doctor I wanted to see and at a good time...soooo we were lucky enough to see if Daddy wanted to go to school or take Bubby to the doctor...he chose school.  What a good guy!

They had a lot of fun together at preschool.  Poor Keith was so nervous, but said everything was fine.  He was even in charge of snack, but I assured him he could do it! ;)  He got in a good workout on the playground too!

After a fun morning together they also got to go to Daddy/Daughter Date Night at Chic Fil A last night!  What a precious idea!  Reags was BEYOND excited.  They went to the Chic Fil A at the mall, which wasn't first the pick, but the date night at our closer location was already full, plus Reags does LOVE going to the mall.  Reagan decided she wanted to be fancy and wear her tutu with her "bootiful" shirt from Aunt Ellen :)

Such a special day for a sweet little girl and her Daddy.  I am so lucky to have a husband that drives me crazy sometimes LOVES spending time with his little girl and is antsy everyday waiting for Landon to be able to do fun things, like kick the soccer ball!

Thursday night I was so excited to go out to dinner with some of my favorites!  We went to the Melting Pot and is was SOOOO good...my Dominican diet was totally blown that night!

5 Month Pictures

Well I am not always exactly on time, but I have been getting Landon's monthly pictures taken...just like I did with Reags.  I guess I need to take L at some point this week for his 6 month pictures, but here are the 5 month ones :)

6 Months!

My sweet Landon-man, you are 6 months old today.  I can not even believe it, as I know I say every month, but these montly posts seem to be happening much more frequently now.

 

This month Landon has learned to sit up pretty much entirely on his own, eat foods, got his bottom two toofers, and has gotten into the groove of a schedule.  He ADORES, I mean ADORES, his sister.  She can say "Hi Bubby" to him and the giggle that comes out of his mouth is a little too cute for words.  Landon loves when we spin in a circle saying "a-du-da-du-da-du --- boo!"  That cracks him up...why, we aren't sure, but he has real deal belly laughs on that one! 

Landon is such a laid back little boy, just like his daddy.  He is really settling into such a happy man.  He does whine like nobody's business when he drops something or can't reach a toy that he wants.  It's pitiful, but hilarious at the same time. 

Landon loves his jumperoo, sitting on the floor playing with toys, sitting in his high chair to eat and drink water from his sippy cup, play on his playmat while mommy blogs ;), taking baths, and hanging out in his sister's big girl bed. 

We have a BOY on our hands too.  One day he will be mortified, but I think it's pretty cute...first he loves to bang his sippy cup all over the place and splash the water everywhere.  He is soaked by the time we are finished with his dinner!  He has also "found himself" when we are changing his diaper or in the bath, and giggles at each grab.  ha!

We go to the doctor on Monday for Landon's 6 month visit and I can't wait to see how much he weighs.  He is wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 3 diapers (only until we finish this pack and then we're moving onto the 4's).  He is just getting too big!

Landon has had SUCH A GREAT day today!  He SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT...we're talking from about 7:00pm (waking up a couple times between 7:30 and 8 for binky, tylenol, and sucking of the nose as he's getting over his second cold) until 7am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Keith and I woke up at 6 and we asked if either had gotten up with Landon and neither did...can I tell you how rested we both feel today?!!?  It's wonderful!!  However, I won't get too excited, but we're hoping we're making progress.  So he woke up at 7, we played in bed with sister for awhile, he chilled in the bumbo while I took a shower, he had a bottle, played in his jumperoo, took a great morning nap from 9-10:30, got dressed so we could meet sister's friends at storytime and the park on this BEAUTIFUL 70* day, had another bottle, played in jumperoo, snuggled with momma, took a great afternoon nap from 1:30-3:10, suffered through a photo shoot with mommy for his 6 month photo shots, and is currently lounging on his playmat while I type away.  :)  He will eat dinner around 5:30, (no rice anymore, just a container of food), play, bath, and be in bed at 7.  That is pretty much our typical day...more for my own memory than your personal enjoyment ;)

Landon man is just such a sweet sugar!  We love him, and those cheeks, SO much!!  I can't believe how much he has changed in the past 6 months, now just 6 more months and he'll be one...unbelieveable!!
