15 Months

On Friday Landon man turned 15 months!  He is just such a big boy and changing everyday...he is the sweetest thing and I hope he never loses his kissable cheeks.

Poor guy...just trying to enjoy a snack!
You know you have an older sister when...

THIS was on MY head?!?

Landon has had a busy month!  Nothing TOO new and exciting, but he has all kinds of tricks.
* love to build blocks and then knock over a tower
* loves to read books...mostly just at bedtime though
* still pushing or throwing just about anything and everything :)
* making lots of sounds and "uh-uhs"...still says da-da, ha (which is hi), ba (which is bye), and all dum
* loves to sit in big kid chairs...though he's not ready to leave unassisted in those yet!
* he is getting better at using a spoon, although this is still a new concept and a huge mess generally results!
* loves to "blow dry" my hair with a princess blow-dryer (he'll love this one day huh!?) and use the brush to brush my hair
* LOVES to flush the toilet!!  He can't wait for his sister or I to finish going to the bathroom so he can flush...never a private moment around here ;)  He also loves to "wash" his hands with water and a little Dora soap.
* LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to be outside...he would spend all day outside and skip meals if we'd let him!
* can cruise up the steps NO problem...he could probably do it all by himself, but I'm not quite ready to run that risk yet.  Keith has been working on him going down on his belly, I still just carry him or hold his hands so he can walk down.
* when we say "bye bye" he always waves and when I said it to him the other day he came up to me with kissy lips.  That's right, you always kiss your momma bye!
* loves to play with his cars...it's a good thing Christmas is around the corner though because I think he's ready for a few new things to play with :)

My sweet sugars

I take Landon to the doctor next week for his 15 month check up.  I would guess he is about 32 pounds?!  He is still wearing 18-24 month clothes, but some 2Ts as well.  The 24 month are pretty perfect most of the time for the length on him!

(Thank you Amy for the longall...it fits him perfectly!)

Landon is just the sweetest boy and we love him to pieces!!  He is so busy and gets into it all, but he is just so "Landon."  Landon is a finiky breakfast eater, a great morning snacker, decent lunch eater, great afternoon snacker, and good dinner eater. :)  (he loves his snacks!)  He is still a 1:00 napper and sleeps until anywhere between 3 and 4, sometimes later, sometimes earlier.  (not quite as predictable as his sister was!)  Come 7:00 though this boy is READY for bed!!  He loves to snuggle a lovey and be rocked for a minute and then lays on his pillow and goes right to sleep.  He is just such a sweetie!

We love you Landon Thomas...you are just such a precious little man!!

Fun Visit!

It wouldn't be a visit from Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop if we didn't make a quick trip to the mall for rides, Chick Fil A, and a little shopping :)

They've opened up a little Toys R Us in the mall and both kids got some money for Halloween so they were excited to pick something out!  Landon got a grocery cart filled with food (total hit and now we have one for Reagan too) and Reagan picked out a princess cash register.  We have been playing quite a bit of cashier lately!

Yes, Landon looks like Rudolph...

First time on the Merry Go Round at the mall!  Loved it :)

Wearing her fancy new dress up dress!

Look at this poor guy!  Seriously...he fell AGAIN playing outside before we left for the mall on Thursday.  He just tripped over his own feet...poor guy!  My mom and John said it didn't look like he hit his head, but it turns out he did and he now has a lovely green bruise in the middle of his forehead.  My poor man!  It's all scabbed up now though and hopefully all on the mend for family pictures in two weeks :)

On Friday Reagan had school and I slipped out to run a couple errands while Mom and John were home with Landon.  We went to get Reagan and then I had to go out again (not complaining!) to the Apple store to get a new iPad.  PRIASE everything that my dad bought Apple Care for our iPad last Christmas!  It "fell" on Halloween morning and had the fuzziest screen you've ever seen.  After being on the phone with Apple support for an hour and a half on Halloween, there was no fixing it.  However, our new one is up and running and it looks just like our old one...R sure is happy to have all her apps back...as am I!

To top off the fun on Friday night Keith and I were able to go out AGAIN!  We could get used to this :)  We met some friends from his office for a couple drinks since one of the ladies is leaving and then we headed to Bonefish for dinner.  It was soooo good!  We sat at the bar and I literally could not belive how much I ate, but it was all soooo yummy (and uninterupted!).  It was a fun night out...home by 9:30, but still fun!

Saturday morning we had a yummy breakfast and then Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop hit the road.  It was a great visit and makes us want to move closer to family that much more...maybe someday!

Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween 2012!  It was a success in this house, that is for sure :)

On Tuesday we literally stayed in our jammies ALL day!  We did some Halloween baking too...we made some cut out cookies and cupcakes.  We made the icing and both kiddos LOVED licking a beater...it was stinkin' cute.  Landon sucked that thing clean!!

On Monday night we scooped out our pumpkins (which R was so excited for, got the spoon in the pumpkin and then decided it was gross and was done...) to get them ready for carving, we were not feeling the carving on Monday night....so Tuesday night was carving night.  Once Landon man went to bed we got started.  As Keith and I sat there carving, we wondered how many more years it will be until we aren't the ones doing all the work?! :)  Reagan loved watching though and sure did LOVE the Cinderella pumpkin her daddy carved for her!

Wednesday morning we were up and at 'em for school.  Reagan had a Halloween parade and festival at school and was allowed to wear her costume, which of course included hair and make-up, which is not built into our normal "get out of the house by 8:55" timetable :)  We managed and she was SO excited to show everyone her costume!

Here they come...this "parade" was hilarious.  Reagan's class was the first to come out and as soon as she walked out the doors and saw parents waving, she just started waving at everyone...it was too cute!

Some of her class :)

The Cinderellas

Emmy, Reags, and Brooklyn at the festival!

Each teacher set up a little booth in the gym and the kids all had a ball with the different activities.  It was very fun!

Landon made his first arts and craft project...it was torn to pieces 15 minutes later, but it was sweet none the less :)

Reagan and her AMAZINGLY sweet and wonderful teacher, Ms. Diana

Later in the afternoon some of our favorite visitors arrived...Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop!  Everyone was SOO excited to see them!

This kid kills me...I just can't get enough of him!!

Now ready for trick-or-treating!!  This was the 2nd round and hair and make-up for the day and we were OVER it ;)

Reagan's Cinderella, Daddy's "Go Pack", and Bailey's bone

My ghosts and Landon's happy face

Reagan was so excited to go across the street to see Baby Jeddy and Miss Holly!

This guy did not like or care about the trick or treating experience for a second, SOO he hung out at home and pushed his toy around instead!

Kepplinger Family - Halloween 2012

Since I stayed back with Landon and my mom and John were handing out candy, Keith took Reags around for a while to trick or treat.  It was cold and she really doesn't even like candy, so after they were finished, she was more excited to HAND OUT the candy.  It was so cute and she commented on all of the costumes.  "What a cute little girl" and "oooohhh...scary, I don't know if you should get candy" were a couple of my personal favorites.

Reagan and baby Kaylee up the street!  That ladybug costume reminded me of Miss Reaggie's first Halloween...

Halloween 2009

Overall the day was a total success and there are already discussions about what next year's costumes will be!  As of now...R thinks she'll be a scary witch, I'll got ahead and bet that won't happen :)

Clean House?!

It's a cold and dreary day here today, sooo we are having a pajama day!  These always sound like a good idea and then we hit that 10-11 time of day and I am kicking myself for thinking such things ;)

"Loving" her brother...do you see his face?!  He's not feeling the love!

Telling me all about his sad story...

And if by chance you are thinking your house is a little untidy today, please feel so much better when you see the bomb of my downstairs :)

...and I wouldn't have it any other way!
(Although  now that both kids are in their rooms sleeping/resting...it looks all better...just to be destroyed again when they are both up!)

Six Years!

On Sunday Keith and I celebrated our 6th anniversary...SIX years?!?!  Lots has changed since we got married, but I am so thankful for a great husband (most of the time!) and a wonderful daddy to my babies.

I had a friend of mine come over, that I used to teach with, to watch the kids.  Reagan was so excited for her to come over!  We just wanted to go out to lunch and not be rushed...just a couple hours away...we NEVER go out, unless maybe family is in town...so this was a super special treat!

We had a great lunch...started with a beer and appetizers, watched the pathetic Eagles game, and just chatted...what a concept right?! :)  We went to this new shopping plaza that is more like a little village and it was sooo cute!  After lunch we just walked around for a few minutes and guess who we saw...SANTA himself!!  He said we had to get a picture together for the kids :)  He was the REAL DEAL!

We finished up our anniversary date with a quick trip to Harris Teeter :)  Does it get any more romantic than that?!
