Oh Christmas Tree...Part 1

Last Sunday we busted out the kid's Christmas trees!  It was so fun to get them out this year since they were packed away in storage last Christmas.  They were so excited to decorate and both kiddos did ALL the decorating!  They are so proud of their creations :)

Little Elf!

The Saturday before Thanksgiving Middletown has their Christmas Parade!  This year St. Anne's had a float and when "elf" volunteers were needed, Reagan was the first to volunteer :)

it was a COLD morning!!

Two of Reaggie's best buds in class, Dean and Macy (twins), were on the float too!

They were having a LOT of fun!
Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop couldn't miss watching their Reaggie!!

An action shot :)  We were handing out jingle bells and they were ALL tangled up...so the moms spent a lot of time on the float untangling bells!

An action shot of Mr. Thayer, the head of school...he was having a good old time!

Little Miss sipping on some hot cider and having fun on the float!

Crafts and Dining Room

Last night the kiddos did a little craft that we had picked up awhile ago and it kept them occupied for about 20 minutes :)

On Saturday we painted the dining room so I've been finishing up in there this week...Handy Landy was helping me today hang up my frames :)  He's such a nut!  He had to go get his "worker outfit" so that he could help me.  He sported this get up to Walmart today too...love this kid to pieces!!

Park, Breakfast Date, and JJ

Last Monday was a BEAUTIFUL day, a "you'd never know it's November" kind of day...what a difference a week can make!  We played at the park with friends and then went to Chick Fil A for lunch!

On Friday Landon and I were out running a couple errands and for some reason a Bob Evans breakfast sounded delish!  SO we stopped :)  This day Landon did NOT stop eating...I told him he better stop growing so big!

On Thursday JJ had her kidney stone surgery and everything went well with the surgery, although she was in a lot of pain.  I stayed with her on Sunday night and she had developed pneumonia by then...seriously?!!?  SO I forced her to eat, do breathing exercises, and was constantly watching her oxygen levels...she was a trooper and just slept (and SNORED) a lot.  Keith had a super early meeting Monday, so my mom got to the hospital by 5:30 and I left to head home so Keith could leave.  Needless to say I was functioning on just about no sleep on Monday...but the good news is Jamie was released yesterday and is doing so much better!!  THANK GOODNESS!!

NYC!!

On Saturday, November 8th we had our 2nd Annual New York City Fun Day!

Missy was READY!!

We met at my dad's house at 10 to hit the road for NYC!

Reaggie and Jordan ready to go!

We made it!!  HELLO Radio City!

The tree had just arrived the day before, so we were glad we atleast got to see it!

watching the ice skaters :)

walked through St. Pat's, which was still being renovated...it's just so gorgeous!!

As the afternoon went on, Reaggie Mae started slowly fading

The BEST spot to be in for New Year's Eve!  Although I'm pretty sure you couldn't PAY ME to be in Times Square!

We had 4:00 dinner reservations and Reagan was just beat!  They sat us upstairs and we were the only ones up there, at the time, and there happened to be this little stage behind our table.  SOO I laid down R's blanket, gave her my coat as a pillow, covered her with her coat and she rested while I enjoyed my wine :)  She wasn't hungry to eat, so we just let her rest! (it was pretty awesome!)

My dad was our chauffeur again :)

starting to perk up and watching shows on my phone...by the end of dinner she was dancing and putting on shows! :)  The restaurant was also totally filled at this point.

Our tickets were for the 7:00 show, so after dinner we started making our way towards Radio City.  Reagan was ALL bundled up!

LOVE IT!!

Ready for the show!!

The show was amazing, as always!!  We just LOVE it!  However, it was just a little too late for RMK and with about 15 minutes to go in the show, she fell asleep in my arms...and fell asleep HARD!  Didn't move when I stood up and walked us up to the stroller and hardly woke up to put her down.  She finally decided she was hungry at 8:30, so we stopped by a McDonald's on the way to the car, she ate, and fell right back asleep!  It was SUCH a fun day!!

Follow Up Appointment and Subbing

On November 5th Landon had his 3 week post op appointment at AI...everything looked great!  We were literally in the doctor's office for 5 minutes...in and out!  We went to visit JJ afterwards and then ran a couple errands...the kids were BEAT and not amused with all that Momma dragged them around doing, not to mention the traffic we hit on the way home!

yup, told you they were thrilled!

On the 7th I did something I haven't done in almost 4 years...I went to school!  I'm on the sub list at Reagan's school and was called in to help in the preschool class.  Keith was able to work his schedule to help with Landon man.  It was so fun being at Reagan's school and being able to pop in the cafeteria to see her at lunch!  This Friday I get to sub for the middle school PE teacher...Lord help me :)

...and just because this is cute...we had to disguise a paper turkey so that he or she wouldn't get cooked for Thanksgiving dinner!  No surrpisingly, Reagan chose Elsa!  We both had way too much fun with this :) ...except the glitter...I told her I must really love her to have glitter all over the place!

Proud

We are so very proud of this sweet girl!  Last Thursday morning we had Reagan's conference and we couldn't be more proud of her.  She is doing so very well in school and her teachers had  nothing but great things to say.  She is reading so many words, helping others in the class, having fun, and just being 5.  I literally had tears in my eyes hearing about what a great student Reagan is.  Of course her teachers mentioned how much they love her hair bows too :)  Landon was in school, so afterwards Reaggie and I had a donut date to celebrate!

Great job Reagan!
