Our Week...

We have had a good week!  Everyone left on Monday and we had a "hang out" day to clean up and play outside!  Someone loves his swing :)

nice hair ;)

On Tuesday we ran out for a couple errands and "Banera" was requested for lunch :)

The dog hair was a little out of control, so my own personal Cinderella helped momma out!

He likes afternoon jumping time

On Tuesday night my sweet friend Heather and I went to our local Wine and Design.  I was SO nervous, as I am not the painter.  However, with a teacher guiding you through it seriously anyone can do it!  We had a great night out...enjoyed wine and snacks and now just have to find a spot for our paintings!

Wednesday morning Reagan had school for the first time in about 2 weeks!  The weather was much cooler, so I was thinking it would be World War 12 in the getting dressed department.  She did SO great though adn agreed that it was chilly and she needed pants.  She wanted leggings and a t-shirt, but for school that just wasn't ok.  :)  She liked this outfit, especially since her Aunt JJ bought it for her!  She looked a little too cute to not snap a couple pics!

Do you see the attitude in this one?!

Overall it's been a pretty good week.  Landon seems to be feeling MUCH better, which we are SO happy about.  So here's what happened today, well it kind of has been off and on, but when he's eating his fruit or puffs, he gets red blotches around his left eye.  What on earth?!  I called the doctor today, the nurse called back and said she'd never heard of that and was going to check with a doctor.  Well surprise, surprise, the doctor wanted us to come in.  She would like for us to not give him "processed" baby food, especially the fruit.  I am going to start smushing fruits and veggies for my little man to see if that helps?!  We shall see.  What I could find online about this leads me to think this is nothing, but still, I want to know what's going on.

We are getting ready for Keith's sister, Kristin, her husband, Tom, and their three kids to come visit tomorrow for the weekend.  Should be lots of fun!  Reaggie can't wait to see her cousins!

Easter Weekend!

(You would NOT believe the trouble I have had uploading pictures for this post...seriously, it has taken me three days (obviously during nap time) to do this!  Does it take anyone else FOREVER to upload pics!?!)

We had a great Easter weekend and guess what, we STAYED in NC!  We didn't have to travel!  That was pretty nice :)  Gran and Gramps came on Friday afternoon.  We had plans that night to go to the mall to see the Easter Bunny...and of course get Chic Fil A and ice cream.

Reaggie insisted on wearing her bunny ears and wanted Gramps to join in on the fun!

Sweet little bunny! (He is getting MORE teeth!)

Here is our Easter Bunny pic...several comments to make on this...YES, I'm in YET ANOTHER "holiday figure" picture.  One day I won't have to :)  However, it's just the stage of life we're in I guess.  Can I also comment on the fact that I look brunette in this picture...good thing I had a hair appointment the next morning! ;)

We were able to meet up with Keith's childhood friend, Robyn, who was in town with her daughter.  Robyn's husband is a coach for the Clemson baseball team and they were playing Duke.  It was SO great to see her and meet her sweet little Mia!

On Saturday morning my mom and John arrived.  Gran and I got our hair cut in the morning and then work in the kitchen began.  It was such a beautiful day!  We ate lunch and just as I laid Landon down in his crib for his nap I heard Reagan start SCREAMING!!  I RUSHED downstairs and she had tripped and hit her lip on the trim of the back door.  Needless to say blood was GUSHING out of her mouth...SCARY!  It just kept coming and coming...I looked in her mouth to make sure she hadn't lost any teeth or they weren't jammed up in her gums, seriously...it was that bad.  THANKFULLY we had quite the crew here and with cold, wet paper towels and chew toys we were able to get that lip to clot and stop bleeding.  We were anticipating a LOVELY fat lip.  I was just so worried because it seemed like she was losing a LOT of blood.  However she was fine!  She woke up from her nap with a nice honkin' lip.  I assumed Easter pictures would just document the fall, but just as her daddy predicted, it was fine by Sunday.  Phew!

You can kind of see the fatness in the lip in this one!

Reaggie and Landon got SPOILED by Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop Easter Bunny and also Gigi and Gramps Easter Bunny.  LOTS of nice treats and even MORE new dresses for Miss Reagan.  Seriously...she has THIRTY dresses!!!!!  I'm NOT kidding!

Easter Sunday morning the kiddos woke up and Reags was excited to check out what the Easter Bunny had brought for she and Bubs!  They both got some new books, a new outfit, toys, and Reags got some candy too!  Bubby LOVED his new Mickey Mouse stuffed animal...he LOVES Mickey!

Showing Bubs his Mickey!
Checking out his goods!  (I could NOT find a big Easter basket this year, like I was able to find for Reagan.  Was I just not looking in the right places?)
Princess things GALORE!!!

Stylin' man in his new shades!

We had a BIG, yummy breakfast on Easter morning.  After we ate it was time to PLAY!  Reagan had SO much fun playing with all of her playmates (grandparents and great-grandparents!).

She put on that new dress that the Easter Bunny brought and was out!  This picture is just SO Reagan!

Weeeee!

Enjoying the lovely day with Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop after a nice little morning snooze
Sweet Sugar!!!!  He still wasn't 100% on Easter...still coughing and had such as stuffy nose.

My sweet man and I

The things we go through to get a decent family picture...

Do you not LOVE Landon's face in this picture?!

The best we could do!

Bubs had had it and the phone kept him calm :)

The afternoon was spent in the kitchen!  We had a BIG dinner to prepare.  I couldn't have done it without all of my helpers :)  We had ham, green bean casserole, twice baked potato casserole (thank you Pinterest), spinach salad with green apples and poppy seed dressing, corn pudding (thank you Pinterest), and beer bread.  It was pretty tastey!

After dinner it was time for an Easter Egg Hunt!  Reags had monies, candy, and stickers in those eggs...pretty fun!

After dessert, we had to do one more photo shoot!  All of the guys got "St. Martin" shirts from Gran and Gramps...oops, John didn't have his, but he does have it.  Anyway...thought this was too cute!  Landon is a lucky guy and even has matching shorts too!

We sure did miss my dad and J, but are excited to see them in just over a week for Landon's baptism (finally!).  We had such a nice weekend and we were so glad that family could come to us!

8 Months!

He sure is a cute sicky boy!

Yesterday marked Landon man's EIGHT MONTH birthday!  So crazy!  You know what that means??  It's officially time to start planning his first birthday party! :)  (actually, first I need to get planning for his baptism in a couple weeks and then we'll start on the birthday fun!)

Yup...this is what happens to the sign now!

How on earth is my little man 8 months old already?  I just can't believe it!  (Don't get me started on how Reags is almost THREE either!  I have been a mess lately!)

As mentioned in the "Sickies" post, Landon got to spend his "birthday" at the doctor's office.  He has his first ear infection, got his first antibiotic, and has to do breathing treatments for a few more days.  Poor thing!  I am SO thankful that he has medicine now though that will help him to feel better.  (I am always nervous to go to the doctor thinking that they are going to do nothing, which is a "waste" but it is piece of mind, which Lord knows I need!  However, if you think your child needs to go to the doctor, obviously something is wrong and you want something that is going to make it better!)  Now we are just hoping our Bubs is on the up!

This past month Landon has continued to do so many things!  He cracks us up and is just learning new things everyday.  He still loves his water, but can now also feed himself puffs!!  YAY!  That whole hand/mouth coordination thing is a tricky one, but he has GOT it down.  The boy loves some puffers.  He is "waving" a little bit too.  His "wave" is more like just putting his hand up in the air.  It's hilarious, but just a little too cute for words.  The boy LOVES, I mean LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  The minute he sees Mickey crossing the hill (moms, you know what I'm talking about) in the opening song, Landon puts out his arms, stretches out his feet and literally starts shaking with excitement.  It's hilarious!!  In his crib LTK will now pull himself up to his knees when holding on to the railing.  He thinks it is pretty funny and we think he is pretty darn proud of himself when he does that.  Have I mentioned how badly he wants to crawl?  Bubs will get on all 4s and even scoot backwards, but now forward yet.  He rolls EVERYWHERE!!  A few times he has even gotten in the upside down "V" position, where his tush is sticking up in the air.  Such a big man!  One of the sweetest things is Landon really saying "mama" now.  Seriously, is there a better sound in the world than hearing your baby say your name?  It's precious and I love it.  Everything is "mama" but it doesn't matter :)  Oh and he also is starting to sleep on his belly some, which I think is so cute.  HOWEVER, a boy sleeping on their belly is a little different than a girl sleeping on her belly.  We never had SOAKING wet sheets with Reagan from sleeping on her belly...Landon man, a different story.  I am making up for him sleeping in his carseat for 7 months and not have to change wet sheets.  He just really likes a nice, clean bed. :)  Cribs are so fun to change!  Did I mention I have Landon is size 5 diapers!?!  They are none too big and seem to help a little at night!  (We have leftover fives from when Reagan was still wearing diapers, as in a couple months ago!)

Landon is still sticking pretty well to his "schedule."  I just love the predictability that it brings to our day.  For us, it works.  We are going to start "lunch" soon.  For me, I really don't love the whole baby food phase.  I really like when they can start eating "big kid" foods.  I have given Landon some of my banana, applesauce, and some ice cream.  Maybe he's ready for a few more things?!  We shall see!  He seems pretty happy with what he gets and like I said earlier, loves his puffs!  ...especially now with those top toofers!

Landon man is such a laid back, sweet man.  There are days that I think "I've got this down" (being a mom) and oh how I am VERY quickly grounded with the craziness that motherhood brings.  He, in ways, reminds me so much of baby Reagan, but in so many ways is just his own person and is so different.  I love that about him.  I love everything about that sweet boy and am SO blessed that he is mine.  I just love to kiss on his sweet cheeks and the top of that "big" head!  Love you Bubba-boo!  (Thankfully he realizes he has several names and responds to Landon, Bubs, Bubby, Landy, sometimes sister calls him Landon Mae...hilarious...)

Sickies...

Well both kiddos are sick...yuck!  Reagan has been battling a cold/allergies/cough for almost a month now and Friday night reached it's worse yet.  She and I were up ALL night, bless her heart...her ear hurt SO bad.  I felt terrible.  Tylenol seemed to help her for about 2 hours and by 4:30 Bubble Guppies was on, followed by Dora, and whatever else she asked for that I managed to put on with one eye open :)  THANK GOODNESS our doctor's office has Saturday hours and I called at 9:01 to get her an appointment.  She has a yucky ear infection, but was really acting TOTALLY fine by about 9am.  Somehow no sleep gave her MORE energy...however by naptime, she was OUT!  Thank you antibiotics for kicking in so quickly.

I was putting Landon down for his nap on Saturday and could tell he wasn't feeling his best...just acting a little different and he kept pulling at his hair.  Saturday night he was up ALL night.  Oh my...my poor sugar had the stuffiest nose and was starting to cough a little.  By Sunday he was a faucet of snot and had a yucky sounding cough.  Sunday night was another all nighter and I got pretty nervous around 1:30am when he was kind of "wheezy."  Thankfully he coughed and got the gunk out...he slept "ok" from that point on.

I was a ZOMBIE on Monday morning, but thankfully Keith could take Landon to the doctor for sick walk in right at 8:00.  I wanted them to be the first there.  I was a wreck waiting for Keith to call me to tell me how Bubs was.  Turns out he has an ear infection and was even given a breathing treatment at the doctor, as he heard some wheezing too.  SCARY!!  We now have a nebulizer at home and I have been giving Landon 2 or 3 breathing treatments a day...thankfull he LOVES some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and will "watch" that and get through a treatment fairly easily.

I am gross...seriously, I "switched it up" by wearing a Phi Mu shirt that was at the bottom of my t-shirt pile.  Keith even commented that he hadn't seen this t-shirt before...ha!  I tell you, those shirts were some of the best investments I made in college :)

Last night we still snuggled in the guest room together, but he did sleep MUCH better.  Our poor sugar.  His nose is still just running so badly, but hopefully we are on the up from these sicknesses.  I HATE when my babies are sick...it is even worse, for several reasons, when it's BOTH at the SAME time.  I think the pharmacist at Harris Teeter now knows us by name. :)

Needless to say this past weekend was VERY low key, although Keith did bust out some MAJOR yardwork.  Reagan was quite the helper, I should add.  Now we just need 1) kiddos to feel better (Reagan is really fine, she is crazy!  Bubs is the one that needs to be snot and cough free!) and 2) to get some sleep.
