Holy Sicknesses!

OH.MY.WORD...SOMETHING invaded our house and it was NOT fun AT ALL!!  So we got back from the beach on Thursday and around 4am Friday morning I work up not feeling so great.  I just laid in bed, started sweating, really started not to feel good, and went to the bathroom....I'll spare the details.  It was one of those times where I was just sweating, hot, felt like crap, didn't know if I was going to throw up...it was awful.  I might have passed out for a minute on the toilet, not totally sure, but woke up with my head against the wall...thankfully I didn't tumble off.  It was just AWFUL!!  I *think* I went back to sleep for a little bit, but I'm not even sure.  Keith had a day full of meetings, but he was able to get the kids breakfast, which was a huge help.  I just stayed in bed all morning, feeling like CRAP.  Reagan needed me to help her in the bathroom around 10:00, which required me to get out of bed and walk down the stairs.  I got in the bathroom, helped her, and had to lay down.  I didn't know if I was going to pass out, throw up...yuck.  I called my mom to see if there was anyway she could come over and help with the kids...thankfully she could and brought them some lunch too.  They played for awhile, Landon went down for his nap, I was on and off sleeping all afternoon.  I texted Heath and told her how I was feeling and this isn't what I had planned for the day and she was up that night like me and feeling the same way!!  Her husband was home with their son that day because she was miserable too...we don't know if it was food poisoning or some type of bug, whatever it was knocked us both out on Friday.

At about 4:30 I heard Landon kind of fussing, but my mom went in to get him.  Then I heard "oh buddy, it's okay" and somehow I dashed out of bed into L's room only to find him throwing up!!  My poor baby, he's never gotten sick like that.  (Not to mention it was ALL over his bed and brand new bedding!! Which PS, is a big boy bed  now!!  I have so many milestones to update on!)  I changed him, brought him to my bed (again feeling like I was going to pass out from standing up for 2 minutes) and my mom cleaned up L's bed.  I think Keith got home around this time and Landon proceeded to throw up, literally, about 12 more times.  I was so worried about him getting dehydrated, it was no fun!  Oh and did I mention Reagan threw up too...however just one time and she was begging to eat dinner as soon as she was done.  She was one and done and totally fine!

Please keep in mind THE NEXT DAY, Saturday, was Reagan's friend party at the park with EIGHTEEN of her closest friends from preschool and ballet coming!!  Should we cancel the party??  What the heck should I do?!!?  All along I had been SO worried about the weather cooperating, and it was to be a beautiful day, thankfully!  Saturday morning I woke up early, since I had slept about 18 hours the day before, and tried to get a few last minute things done for the party and take a shower.  I REALLY wanted to make it to her party.  After a shower and making cupcake toppers, I was spent.  It just wasn't going to happen.  Thankfully I had most of the party things already done, so I drew Keith a couple diagrams, wrote out a little "schedule" and off he and Reaggie went to the party.  I could NOT believe I was not going to my baby's FIFTH birthday party.  She didn't seem too traumatized though and was just so excited that her party day was FINALLY here.

Landon and I stayed at home and snuggled in my bed...Cars 2 was on the night before and we DVR'd it, so we watched that again.  Landon was laying on me and I thought he was being pretty still, turns out he had fallen asleep on me.  It was so sweet...he was out for a couple hours mid-morning, which never happens.  I knew it was what we both needed.  He was drinking Gatorade like a champ too, it's now known as his "special juice that make him all bey-yer (better)."

Needless to say the sicknesses were NO fun for anyone!!!!  It did come and go pretty quickly though, so for that we were very thankful!
A little sicky snuggle time with my little man

Beach Trip!

The day after Reagan's family party we headed to the beach for the week!  Monday morning I still had to pack and get everything ready for the week, SO Keith and Reagan went down and Landon and I got some things done at home...more like I got things done while he was napping :)

We ran to the store Monday morning and on our way home we stopped to watch the "workers," pretty sure they're building a Texas Roadhouse restaurant

This boy was in trucky heaven!!

Keith and Reaggie were able to have a fun day together at the pool, out to dinner, and to Funland.  Tuesday morning we got a surrey and took a nice bike ride.  The kids have about out grown the 2 seater bike...so sad!  Reagan is about too tall to sit in the front basket and if Reagan doesn't Landon won't, so for awhile he was sitting on my lap while I was pedaling along which meant he kept going up and down as my legs were going up and down...I'm sure we were a sight for sore eyes!

modeling a new birthday outfit from Gigi and Gramps

We HAD to stop for a donut!

Later Tuesday morning Heather, Tobin, Mari, and Olivia came to visit us.  Keith, Mari, and Livie left Tuesday night and Heath and I were staying with the kids through Thursday.  The kiddos and I shared the king bed...we had all that space and somehow I had two kids flopped on me both nights :)

Reagan REALLY, REALLY wanted to go on the Haunted Mansion ride, since she did it in Disney she thought she could totally handle it!  Turns out it was a little scarier than she thought!

Mari and her favorite little man!

Look at these sweeties!

Landon Man, I just LOVE you to pieces!

Love this girl!!

Tuesday night we all went to Grotto's for dinner and then everyone who was leaving left.  Heath and I put the kids to bed and could have chatted all night!  Wednesday morning was not the prettiest day, in fact we were just going out to the beach when it started pouring.  SOOO we ran a few little errands, had an early lunch in the condo, and then headed to the beach for awhile.  It worked out great!

We left Thursday morning, since it was another rainy day, and headed back to our house!  It was such a fun trip...even though the weather didn't exactly work in our favor!

Recital and Party Time!

The Saturday after Reagan's birthday we had a very special date to Anna's dance recital.  (We worked her family party around this!)  It was such a sweet recital and we were so glad we could be there!

Three Amigos...Katey, Anna, and Reagan

Sweet Brady, who is almost 3, just loves Reagan too

This picture cracks me up because Brady REALLY wanted to be in the picture with Reagan and Anna, but we were trying to get just one picture of just the 2 girls...Reagan is holding Brady's hand in this picture to keep him happy while we snapped a couple pics :)  While 5 has proved to be a little more challenging, ALREADY, I am so thankful for her sweet heart and compassion for others.

After the recital we went with Anna's family to Olive Garden to celebrate.  It was a very fun night!  Once we got home though it was straight to bed  for the little girl and time to get to work for this momma...party day was Sunday!

Of course the theme for Reagan's party was "Frozen."  It all turned out great and lots of family were able to come as well as some of our neighbors!

The party girl HAD to wear this dress!

We hung out, ate, opened presents, had dessert, chatted...it was great!

Opening LOTS of goodies!  Bella (who Reagan LOVES!) and Liam were good helpers :)

Landy man had to help Sissy a little bit!

This was hilarious...Landon and Landon (have I mentioned we have a Landon right across the street from us, who will be 3 three weeks before our Landon!?) would go up the slide, come down, go up the slide, come down, get a sip of water, go back up the slide...it was so stinkin' cute to watch!  They are such sweet friends already!

Once everyone was leaving, we finally got a couple family shots!

Love Landon's "silly face" in this picture :)

It was such a fun day celebrating our FIVE YEAR OLD!!

Dutch Wonderland Fun!

The day after Reagan's birthday looked to be a BEAUTIFUL day, so we decided to head to Dutch Wonderland!  The kiddos and I picked up Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop by 9 and we were there right when they opened at 10.  It was such a great day!  Just like last year, the weather was perfect and the kids had SO much fun!  Landon has NO fear on rides, he'll do anything...just like his sister.  They just loved it all!

We got to see all the "guys" as soon as we got there!

Landon photo bomb on the train!

Love this sweet boy!

Do they not look like real Amish children or what?!  This cracked me up!

on the flume ride...I think they went on this 10 times between Mum-Mum, Pop-Pop, and I!  They both LOVED it!

Sitting with Pop during the diving show

one of the actors even came and sat next to R!

Landon's first time on the bumper cars...he loved it!

This cracked me up...only in Lancaster, Pennsylvania would you basically be yards away from a farm with views of cows in the middle of the park.  Love it!

They opened a whole new area this year, complete with sand and diggers...you can imagine how happy this little guy was!

yes, you can even pretend to milk a cow :)

We left around 4 and were all beat...
...proof that it was a successful day!!

What a great day, great weather, and SO much fun!
