Grandparents Day Celebration and a Couple Extras

On September 14th, Landon's preschool celebrated Grandparents Day.  They are so smart and do the book fair during this week as well, so Landon walked out with several new books as well :)  After preschool we met at Cantwells for a yummy lunch, even though Landon wanted nothing.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day, so after lunch Landon and I went to the park!

Tuesday morning off to school...you can't tell but she's wearing her jumper for the first time!  Pretty darn cute!

Colleen, Liam's mom, had a doctor's appointment so Liam got to hang out with us that afternoon!

Killing some time before bed that night with this cutie...

...or scary girl...

...because Liam and Bella were due to come down to share some VERY EXCITING news with us!!  Their Mommy is having a BABY too!!  YAY!  We are soooo excited for our sweet friends...and we have 2 biggest sisters who think they will pretty much take over the role of "mommy!"

Weekend Review

The second weekend in September was a busy one, but a good one!

We got to take Liam to school with us on Friday morning and the boys were happy about it at all...can you tell?

Just a Friday night game of Trouble with Reagan on Daddy's head!
Landon was beating all of us :)

Bailey insisted on being in on the action...of course!

Saturday morning was the first game of SOCCER season!  We have a great team with a lot of friends that have been together before.  It was a little sprinkly, but nothing to slow these boys (and girl) down!

Ron Jon, Liam, and Landon

The Lions did SO great!  Landon had NO tears and had so much fun playing!  He scored two goals during the game and both times came running right up to be to give me a hug...be still my heart.  It was about the sweetest thing!  He would be out taking a break and would ask me when he could go back in...this is a 180 from the Landon last fall, but it is great and we're soooo glad he's having FUN...especially his Daddy!

On Sunday Heath and I had a whirlwind shopping day!  We each had missions and mine was the playroom...it was time to get things hung up in there and finish it up.  We were both very successful and even decided a Panera dinner was probably more economical than the Bonefish dinner we really wanted after our successes :)  SO I put Reagan and Landon to work helping me with our creation in the playroom!

Telling the Kiddos "THE News!"

We told the kiddos on Friday, July 17th the BIG news!  This was a big Friday because Momma actually cooked dinner too...usually Friday is a fend for yourself/pizza/go out/whatever night for dinner :)

Crazy kid on the deck enjoying dinner

...and another crazy one!

After dinner each kid had in mind a "dessert" that they wanted, but I told them Mommy and Daddy had a special treat for them...well that caused a meltdown and tears...it just added to the fun of the night!  ha!  Finally they calmed down and we gave them their box and present!

A little bakery in town was SO sweet and made wonderful (peanut free!) sugar cookies for the kids to let them know the news!  She wrapped them up so cute...I was very impressed!

"Do you know what your cookies say?  Landon's yours says 'Big Brother' and Reagan's yours says 'Biggest Sister.'  They say that because Mommy is pregnant and we're going to have a BABY!!!!" (at this point I was crying!)

Reagan is clearly EXCITED!

Landon just wanted the cookie, but I hadn't taken a picture of it yet, so I told him not to eat his cookie yet...

...which resulted in this!

Here is the bless-ed cookie that I NEEDED a picture of!  Isn't it cute?!

Then they each got a "big sister" and "big brother" book

He was thrilled with the news...can you tell?

Then there was this one...she couldn't have been cuter or more excited if she tried!

Yay!

Feeling a little happier now that half the cookie was in his belly!

They HAD to run down and tell their buddies!

I am going to burn Keith's shirt ;)

Then to the Hunts

Reagan was TOO cute, as I've mentioned, and wanted to call everyone and let them know!!  She called Gigi and Mop, Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop, Grandpa and Nana, Uncle Mike, Aunt JJ...she chatted the longest with Gigi though and was just talking a mile a minute :)

Now that is the face of an excited BIGGEST sister!!

It was such a special night...and I could finally explain (mostly to Reagan) why I had been so sleepy and sickly lately!  Thankfully by the time we told the kids I was starting to feel more and more human again :)

Baby K #3 (Early) Timeline!

A look back...

Monday, June 1, 2015 - I woke up around 6:00 and took a pregnancy test.  I let it sit for several minutes while I watched the news in bed...at a commercial I got up to check it, NERVOUS for what it would say and LOW AND BEHOLD...TWO LINES!!  (I had taken a test a week before and it was negative, which I was sad about and told myself that in one week if I still didn't have my period, I'd do it again...hence why I did it on a Monday morning)  That's when the "oh $%@!" factor kicks in...but in the best possible way!!  Keith got home from the gym JUST as Reagan walked into our room, so I wasn't able to tell Keith right away.  I sent Reagan back to her room to turn off her nightlight and fan and then asked Keith to go check on something in the bathroom for me...he said, "what do you need me to check??"  I just smiled at him and he said, "ARE YOU PREGNANT??" :) :)  Yes, yes Daddy I am!

SOOO that morning I called my family doctor, I didn't even have an OBGYN that I wanted to use!  She sent me for blood work to confirm the pregnancy...that came back positive the next day :)

June 6, 2015 - Reagan's Family Party Day and we wanted to tell my family then!  I made this little framed picture collage for them to unwrap to get the news!  I've never seen them in person to be able to tell them I was pregnant, so it was pretty fun!  Needless to say they were all VERY excited! :)

June 24th - I had a doctor's appointment that morning to see the baby and actually find out when I'm due.  It was THE BEST feeling in the world to see that little heartbeat thumping away on the ultrasound...we couldn't hear it, but we could certainly see it!  The due date was adjusted to February 4th, 2016!  I was 7 weeks 6 days the day of the ultrasound. :)  At this same appointment I had to do a glucose test, since Landon was over TEN POUNDS, they just wanted to make sure I didn't already have signs of gestational diabetes.  That was a good time...a momma that feels like crap already in the morning, needing to fast, and then drink the sugary nastiness...that's just cruel!  Turns out I failed that one by 5 points...SOOO my July 3rd was spent at Quest at 6:30 in the morning for the THREE HOUR glucose test, that THANKFULLY I passed!!

July 29th - We had a big first trimester ultrasound the day after Keith's birthday.  They do things much differently here in DE than in NC!  In NC I did all my testing through bloodwork, but this was an added ultrasound to measure the baby's growth, fluid around the brain, the nasal bone and I'm sure much more.  It was very nervewracking, but so sweet.  Reagan came with us, Landon stayed with Colleen...he "not want to go."  We kept seeing the baby's hand wave across the screen, he or she was waving at their big sister (and mommy and daddy!)  We had a great report at the ultrasound and all looked wonderful.  The relief and overwhelming sense of thankfulness was amazing!
