New House!

We're IN!!!  We are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY getting all settled and unpacked, but we LOVE our new house!!

Saturday, March 1 - Even though we didn't close on Friday, as originally planned, the builder was nice enough to still let us in the house for the weekend to do some painting/electrical work.  Keith's dad drove down on Friday to help at the house all weekend...he is just the best :)  Saturday morning we all headed on over to the house to get busy.  We came armed with snacks, Barbies, and cars!  Landon and I made a Lowe's run and he got a little distracted on the tractors!

He also installed two ceiling fans for us, in the morning room and family room

This sweet girl played so well...they both did!  Landon even slept in my closet, in the pack n' play that he is really getting too big for.  It was a quiet, dark spot...it worked :)

Landon's room looks just like it did in NC...even though he has NO recollection of his old room, isn't that sad?!

our new refrigerator was delivered on Saturday too!

Sunday, March 2 - This was adults only day...even though it was fun having the kids at the house on Saturday, we knew we'd be a little more productive without them.  My mom and John kept the kiddos for us and we were off to get things done!  Heinz and Keith's BIG project of the day was the garage door opener, they did it all and were successful!!!

My dad came and was put to work as Reaggie's room painter :) It is PINKALICIOUS pink!  We are so lucky to have such handy/helpful Dads!

Monday, March 3 - We, of course, had a snow storm that morning!  We weren't even sure if we'd be able to close or not because of the weather.  Mid-morning, just as we were about to go sledding, we got the call that we would close that afternoon!!!  YAY!

We had just signed all the papers!!  Yahoooooo!

Keith spent the night on an air matress at the house Monday night because the movers were coming first thing Tuesday morning.

Bins, bins, and more bins...everywhere!  Landon thought it was a great spot to do a little reading.  Sweet boy, he just LOVES to read...all the time!

Tuesday, March 4 - MOVING DAY!  Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop were so nicely on kid patrol again on Tuesday so we could be unpacking as the movers brought everything in.

...and so it began...boxes everywhere...my cardboard jungle!!

The dishwasher just couldn't run fast enough...SOOO much stuff!

Keith wound up having a big meeting that afternoon, so I was unpacking solo, but I just stuck to the kitchen.  The kitchen and the kids rooms were top priority...we just had to get it liveable so we could sleep there on Wednesday night.  Thankfully I was able to find all the sheets so I could wash those at my mom's to bring on Wednesday after ballet.

Wednesday, March 5 - The kiddos had school and I was packing/cleaning machine.  I had serious work to do and had to do it all by 4:15 when we had to leave for ballet.  Landon man came to ballet and we came HOME after that.  We got home at about 6:40 and Keith had stopped at Chick-Fil-A for our dinner.  After dinner, we had to make beds and get everyone snuggly in their new rooms! (as I TRIED to NOT panic that my house was a DISASTER ZONE!!!)

Thursday, March 6 - unpacking, unpacking, and MORE unpacking!  Thankfully Keith took this day off to be at home to help with kids/unpacking!

  

  

these sticker dolls were a WONDERFUL activity for a little 4 year old I know...she designed some of the cutest outfits!  Perhaps she has a career in fashion ahead of her :)

We enjoyed our first "nice" dinner in our house Thursday night!

We are still working on getting a lot of unpacking done, but it's fun finding everything!
