Party Time: Prep!

Reagan in her ADORABLE new tutu made by Aunt Vic!

Getting ready to put Reaggie "night night"
one last time before she is ONE!

Man, did I have a LOT of help getting this party together!! My mom, John, my dad, Keith, Michael, J, Gran, and Gramps were all SUCH WONDERFUL helpers!! I couldn't have gotten it all pulled together without them!! :) THANK YOU!!

Party Time: Decor!

I have been getting excited for Reagan's First Birthday Party for quite awhile!!  I seriously think I bought my first accessory in January!! :)  I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted pink and green and from there it took off!  I had a BLAST getting ready for Reagan's party!!  It was so fun!  Here are some details of the party decor!

**HUGE Thank You to Ellen for cutting out all the paper and letters for me to make the banner AND for making Reagan's ADORABLE party dress and matching bib!!  She is SOOOO talented!!**

12 Months!!

...or ONE YEAR...I can't decide which is
easier for me to say! :)

I feel like I have been saying "I can't believe Reagan is almost one" for months now!! Well, her birthday has come and gone and I officially have a ONE YEAR OLD!!

Reagan continues to be such a joy! She is so happy and her personality is really showing! Her newest trick that she loves is giving "knuckles" to everyone and you MUST "blow it up!" ha! She even did that to the doctor at her one year physical today! She LOVES to read books and especially likes books that have buttons that play music or 'lift the flap books.' We do a LOT of reading!! (Hello...as a teacher, makes me smile!) Reagan has book that I got at a yard sale for fifty cents, that was one of the best fifty cents ever spent, that is about a farm. The farm animals have textures to them, which she loves as well, and when we get to the page about the cow she says, "boooo!" TOO cute!! She also is roaring a lot like a lion these days...she is an animal! :)

I have been REALLY amazed lately at how much Reagan understands. She really knows a lot of what we are saying...we have even started the lovely trick of spelling works like "walk" and "outside" (kind of like we need to do for Bailey) because she understands them and wants to do that when you say it! She follows a lot of directions and will go get a toy if you ask her to or get a book...it just amazes me!

Reags still isn't talking other than ma ma, da da, ba ba, ot (which is hot), she started saying up too the other day! We LOVE hearing her say our names!! :)

Sleeping has been good, but not nearly as predictable as it once was. MOST days she will take a morning nap, but there are days that she doesn't. MOST days she will take an afternoon nap, but there are some days that she doesn't. ha! She is going to be between 7 and 7:30 and sleeps until about 6:30. Even if she goes to bed late, it's still up and at 'em!! :)

Reagan's 12 Month Stats
Height: 31 1/2 inches (>95%)
Weight: 25lbs. 6oz. (>95%)
Head Circumference: 47.6 cm (>95%)

We are just sooo blessed that we have such a happy and healthy baby! It is just so hard to believe that we have a ONE YEAR old!! We are so in love with her and can't wait to see what this SECOND year has in store!!! :)

Oh What a Night

I know I am SUPER behind in posting about Reagan's party and her 12 month info, for those of you interested, BUT we had a VERY adventurous, scary night last night....

Yesterday we went to the pool with Kristin, Keith's sister, and her daughter, Lyndsey.  Keith stayed home with us yesterday too, which was nice!  WELL...we were playing in the very shallow part of the pool and Reagan was holding onto my leg.  She slipped and went under the water, lying down, for a second, maybe two.  Well I picked her up IMMEDIATLY and she was shocked and trying to gasp for air for another second or two.  She started crying and was fine right way, wanted to get back down in the water.  Gave me a dag gone heart attack though!  We kept playing in the pool, had lunch, came home, Reags took a great nap, took a bath, played more with Lyndsey, went out to dinner with Kristin and Lyndsey, they started their drive back to NY, and on our way home Reagan "spit up" some watery mucus.  Keith said something about "dry drowning" or "secondary drowning" and of course that got me all nervous.  SO I googled this, which is the WORST thing you can do, and began to panic!!!  I called the pediatrician's office to speak to the advice nurse.  She said everything sounded like she would be fine, especially because Reagan was acting FINE all day.  The nurse did recommend having Reagan sleep in her pack n' play in our room though, just to keep an eye on her.  Hello!  Panic attack!!  7:15 rolled around and Reagan was so tired, so I put her down.  She drank her bottle and when she was eating I decided I would sleep on the floor of her room because she does MUCH better in her crib then the pack n' play.  I put her down, she wasn't totally asleep, came in the office to check my email, and Keith wanted me to tell him again exactly what the nurse had said.  As we were talking I heard a nasty cough, RAN into Reagan's room and she had thrown up in her crib...everywhere.  So I picked her right up and she projectiled all over her carpet!!  We were NERVOUS WRECKS!!!  That was it, we put ourselves in the car and off to the ER we went.  Keep in mind Reagan and I were both covered in vomit, well not covered, but had it on us for sure.  We got to the ER and we got all checked in and seen pretty much right away, which was a blessing.  Reagan did SOOO great!!  Oh my gosh I could cry...her first exam was great, then we went back into a real room to wait for the doctor and she was wonderful.  He ordered some x-rays to be done to make sure she wasn't developing pnemonia (spelling?!).  They had to put her in this baby "device" to do the x-rays, and it was so sad.  She did great and looked right at her daddy the whole time.  It was kind of like a form fitting jumperoo because her lets just hung and this clear plastic piece suppored her torso and Keith had to hold her arms up in the air to get the pictures they needed.  Everything came back fine with that.  Needless to say everything seems to be just fine.  They wanted me to take Reagan to the doctor today for a follow up, but thankfully we already had her one year physical scheduled for today anyway.  Reagan passed out on the way home, about 9:45, and slept with mommy and daddy last night.  She tosses and turns a LOT, but she slept great and we are just sooo thankful that she is okay!!  Those of you that know me, know I was a basket case!!  I just cried and cried...oh man...all seems well today!  Reagan is "singing" in her crib right now even though I thought for sure she would be OUT for a nap with going to bed so late and still getting up at 6:30!  I will post all the FUN things this afternoon, assuming Reagan takes her nap! :)

**HUGE thank you to our WONDERFUL neighbors, Darin and Margaret!!!  They called the ER for us to let them know we were coming and then even cleaned up the GROSS mess that Reags left in her crib and carpet.  We owe them BIG TIME!!  Thanks guys!! :) :)

Happy June!

How on EARTH is it already June! Seriously, time is just FLYING by!! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend :) It is SO nice having Keith home for an extra day and exciting for him to know that it's a short work week too!

On Thursday I took Reagan to a make-up swim lesson and afterwards we headed to the outdoor pool for a little while. Reags LOVED it! She played in the little fountain and walked in and out of the pool by herself. They have an awesome kids area! We would have stayed longer, but I didn't pack our lunch and little miss was getting a little hungry.

Reagan currently LOVES Bailey's doggie bed!!  HA!
Poor Bailey can't even have his bed to himself anymore!

Our Memorial Day weekend kicked off with a visit from Walker, Reagan's godfather, on Friday! It's always so great to see him and we are so glad he stayed with us for the weekend. The boys golfed on Saturday, which meant Reags needed a lunch date. (it turned into a drive thru date at Chic-Fil-A, but the thought was there!) I discovered that Reagan loves milkshakes and can drink from a straw!! It was pretty cute, but this child is not used to sugar (not because I don't want her to have it, because she won't eat sweets...whose child is she anyway!??!) and she was WIRED!! It took quite a while to go down for a nap on Saturday! ha :)

We cooked out with Walker Saturday night and then took it pretty easy on Sunday, but then cooked out again!

Boys will be boys...do they ever grow up!?

Monday we went to the pool for a few hours! We had fun, but it was PACKED!! We got there a half hour after it opened and I think we literally got two of the last chairs. Reagan LOVES swimming!!

That's about it! Birthday Week is in FULL effect...my mom and John are on their way down now to hang out with Reags while I get some birthday party errands ran and other things accomplished that are a little more difficult with my sweet daughter :) Keith told Reagan this morning that "last year at this time, I was thinking, is today the day you will be born?!" It was sweet.

Little miss is "singing" in her crib as we speak, thirty minutes after I put her down. :) Time for a nappy darlin'!
