Today this sweet Landon man is 16 months old! He is looking more and more like a toddler to me lately and I can hardly stand it.
Landon is LOVING, I mean LOVING the Christmas lights. He comes down the steps in the morning and right away insists that the tree be plugged in, along with the mantle, and the 3 little trees in the kitchen. It's so cute :) He has been pointing to it all saying "eeeee" which I'm not sure if he's trying to say "tree" or "pretty", but super cute none the less.
Speaking of lights the kid is obsessed!! When he gets up in the morning Keith or I will bring him in our room to play while we still wake up. He points right at the lamps on our nightstands and wants them on. While it is blinding to us, he seems to love it!
Landon is really trying to talk more and more, which is so sweet! He calls for me by saying, "MOMMA, MOMMMEEE" He just can't say one without the other sometimes, which I don't mind. He doesn't have a "name" yet for Reaggie, but we are waiting on that one soon.
Oh, when Keith leaves in the morning for work Landon is so cute! If he's eating breakfast he gives Daddy kissy lips for about 5 minutes, but if he's out of his highchair he will walk over to where Keith keeps his laptop bag and try to pick it up for him. Then he walks to the door and watches Keith out the window until he drives away. It's pretty cute!
His new trick...tickling!!! He was cracking up getting Daddy's toes tonight!
Landon continues to be a good eater, but is certainly getting a lot more opinionated about what he eats these days. To get a vegetable in this kid is impossible...although last week I did manage to slip him some peas mixed in with his rice and chicken. If he's feeding himself though, which he pretty much insists upon now, he won't touch them. When he is using a fork and he gets his meat on it himself he will hold out his fork and "uh uh" to us until we are all watching him and then he'll put his food in his mouth. Ha! He likes an audience.
Landon understands 97% of what we are saying to him...he knows how to turn off his heater when we ask (his room gets FREEZING at night, we have no idea why), to pick up toys, to go to his chair to eat...he understands it all. We have to spell outside now too because if he hears it, to the garage door he bolts!
Landon would still rather be outside than anything and just loves to push his little toys around. I'm thankful that it's been warmer the last couple days and will be this week too...makes being outside much more fun.
Landon, also known as Tommy, Keppy, Bubby, Shug, and the list goes on and on, is just such a sweet man. I love when we read together or when I hold him and he nuzzles his sweet head on my shoulder. He is such a sweetie and certainly a momma's boy, which I am NOT complaining about at all! I can't believe how big he is getting and just love this sweet man to pieces!
