Summer was very quickly coming to an end and we still had a couple things to cross off of our list! Reagan got a gift card for her birthday to a paint your own pottery place and was itching to use it...so a couple Fridays ago seemed like a fine time to do that :)
I thought for sure this kid would rush through and be done in 2 minutes, but he really took his time and did such a great job! He chose a candy cane ornament to paint :)
Reagan chose this flower plate and, being the perfectionist that she is, took FOREVER to paint it. Thankfully I had a dermatologist appointment to get to which helped her along! (because my poison ivy was STILL bothering me!!!)
Can't wait to see their finished products!!
SO we left Hockessin (which is about 45 minutes from our house), drove to my appt (about 20 mins. away), and then were going to visit my sister (another 20 mins away.) On our way to J we got stuck in some traffic and when I called her to let her know we were running late she told me she wasn't in the mood for a visit (bless her heart, had just gotten out of the hospital AGAIN and lost a best friend in a house fire...poor JJ) because she was feeling sad, so the kids and I still went in that direction and hit up Charcoal Pit for a VERY late lunch. It TOTALLY hit the spot! The kids LOVE their apple juice there because it's in a can and they like to pretend they're drinking soda :)
After lunch, we drove another 40 minutes to get Reagan's big haircut!! We actually got to hair appointment a little early so we went to the library next door and were able to read one of her summer reading books while we were there.

It was a fun day with the kids, but we were all ready to get home that evening!
