We started on Friday night with dinner out with the Mill's...sadly our time with them is winding down, so going out to dinner on a nice night sounded like fun! We went to a great place down the street, Shucker's, and we were able to sit outside and listen to the music. Reagan had a blast with Mo-Mo, of course, and they loved dancing too!
On Saturday Keith and Reaggie went to the pool with Darin, Mo-Mo, Jeff, and Parker. They had so much fun apparently. This momma stayed home to get things done around the house and enjoyed a little peace and quiet. :) We went up to our neighbor's house on Saturday night for a little cook out, which was fun and then it was time for a bath and bedtime!
Sunday morning Reags and I went to our favorite, Wal-mart, while Keith got some yard work done. We have been trying to get this house in order for the arrival of our little man in t-minus THREE weeks...more to come on that. Sunday was a productive day to say the least!
Another precious creation from Aunt Ellen!
The 4th of July was relaxing and fun! We ran a couple errands in the morning, Reagan enjoyed the slide in her pool in the backyard, she took a great nap, and then we had the Davis' and the Mill's over for a little cookout. We were all set to eat outside, let the kids run around outside, just be outside...well doesn't it figure that as soon as the burgers and hot dogs were off the grill the sky opened up! Lovely! It all worked out and we were fine inside, but do you know the last time it's rained? I don't! It just figures. The kiddos still managed to have plenty of fun inside and were running laps around the house...pretty hilarious! Our town was to have a fireworks show at 9, but even at 8:50 it was still storming pretty badly. We decided we would just go up and check it out and see what happened...after waiting for about 45 mintues the fireworks FINALLY went off and we were so glad we stayed. We literally were at the point of waiting 2 more minutes before we packed up and went home. They were great though and we were SO glad Reaggie got to see them! We have been reading a book called "Summer" before bed and there are fireworks in it, so we've been talking a lot about them and she was so excited to actually see them. Reags was jumping up and down and telling us what colors they were, it was precious!
Our attempt at a little patriotic photo shoot...
Total hit! This is going to be LOTS of fun this summer :)
Look at this hand business while trying to eat dinner... :)
Daddy D and Mo Mo lookin' cute!
Morgan hosted "story time" for the little kids
This picture cracks me up...Jeff and Keith were swinging each other's kids up and down. The kids were laughing so hard and the dads thought their arms were going to fall off!
Waiting in the back of the van for the fireworks to start...can you tell Reaggie is saying "cheese"?!
awww...the little love birds!
Nothing like Hardee's as our backdrop :)
"Look! Look!"
