Rehoboth Beach 2012

Rehoboth Beach 2012 was SO much fun!!  The kids just had SO much fun, and we did too!

We wound up leaving Monday afternoon and arrived by about 7:30 on Monday night...the drive went pretty smoothly, which was beyond a blessing!

Yay!!  We're here!! :)
(The hurricane blinds are still down in this picture...it wasn't really that dark out!)
YAY!!!!  SOOO excited to be at the beach :)  Keith, or me, or both of us took the kids and Bailey for a walk every morning.  It was so nice!  Reagan loved going over the speed bumps on her bike and Landon just loves hanging out in the stroller.  Oh, Reagan was also VERY concerned when she saw someone riding their bike without a helmet on...she made sure to let us know how unsafe that was ;)

Ready for the BEACH!!!!

Tuesday night Keith and Reags had a date night!  They went down to the boardwalk to play some games and ride some rides.

Wednesday morning Keith and R went to get donuts and while they were gone Landy and I went for a nice walk/run (I NEED to get my butt in shape!).

Relaxing pool side :)  We did an every other day rotation between the beach and the pool, which worked out great!

Fearless!  I think she jumped into that pool about 1,000!  She was a little fish!

A glimpse into our future?! ;)

Landon loved pushing this cooler around the whole condo...he loves a "pushy" toy.  Is his face not classic?  Oh and please note the Coors Light that HE placed on the top of the cooler as well!

My kids are NOT sleepers in different places, such as the beach...however, Landon prooved that wrong on Thursday.  My mom and John came on Thursday morning and this was a little late morning snooze on the beach with Pop-Pop.  So sweet :)  We pushed through morning naps the whole trip and now we get a good afternoon nap out of this man, so morning naps are, in the words of Landon, "alllll dummm" :)

We went out to dinner Thursday night and this is probably the longest we sat at the table...Landon wanted NOTHING to do with the highchair.  SOOO Keith and I alternated walking him around the restaurant and then up and down Rehoboth Avenue...good times :)

Landon and I made a trip to the fire station, which was across the street, to kill some time and they had some hats for the kiddos.  We brought sister back a treat!

Of course we had to ALL go to the fire station after dinner too!

Thursday night Reagan and I had a date night down to the boardwalk!  We had so much fun together...I just love hanging out with this girl!  This was her first time on these swings and she LOVED them!!

This about made me vomit, but she just loves the merry go round!

Friday my dad, Jamie, and Diane came down to the beach for the day.  We hung out at the pool and Reagan had SO much fun playing in the pool!!  After a quick little nap it was off to Funland AGAIN!

Landon's first trip to Funland!  He wasn't so sure about it all.

Reaggie and JJ playing a game together...this was precious :)

Reags REALLY wanted Grandpa to ride the helicopters with her!

Out to dinner again...this time was MUCH, MUCH better!!

Saturday morning we decided to rent a surry bike for a little bit and tool around.  The kids were SO good and loved it!  Reagan wanted to bring the bike home with us :)  Mommy and Daddy got a NICE workout, but it was so fun!

*sweetness*

After bike riding we met up with Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop and the kiddos got to pick out a couple treats and then we got our Rehoboth t-shirts.  Then it was down to the beach!

Check out those jazz hands!

It took this cutie a couple days to warm up to the beach, but towards the end he was finally liking it more!  It seemed like he liked the wet, hard sand a lot better than the dry (can't say I blame him!) and he also loved when the water came up to his toes!

Do you see this?!  Seriously!  This boy LOVED that the pantry was easily accessible.  The Teddy Grahams were on the bottom shelf and he just helped himself...it was too cute.  He was even a good man and put the box away after he was finished...he is a 35 year old man in a 1 year old body...ha!

On Saturday night I was DETERMINED to get some beach pictures, specifically of the kiddos.  I bought them the CUTEST little matching outfits, which for a boy and a girl is NOT easy to find at ALL, and REALLY wanted some cute shots of them on the beach...well we all know how that goes.  When you want the shots you don't get them...we did manage to get a couple good ones, but you will soon see how Landon felt about the whole process...

My sweethearts...seriously, I LOVE these kids so, so much

...loving it?!

The best we could do :)

Pretty girl

This I just LOVE!

Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop came down as reinforcements...this is the best we could do of all 4 of them!

Sunday we went to the pool and then started cleaning and packing to head home on Monday morning.  We had some Grottos at the condo Monday night, which was just perfect.

Monday morning the kiddos had donuts one last time!  Landon enjoyed eating his all by himself...

Ahhh...what a great week we had!  We are so lucky to have such a great place to stay at the beach and that family was able to come and spend time with us.  The memories we are making just makes our hearts smile...we had a great trip with great weather.  We are already excited for next summer!

  1. Reagan is so cute! She definitely knows how to pose for the camera. :) And they look absolutely adorable in their matching outfits, which were bursting with sunshine and fun! Anyway, that was indeed a long and fun-filled trip for the kids. I’m sure they will look forward to your next summer trip. :)
