Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween 2012!  It was a success in this house, that is for sure :)

On Tuesday we literally stayed in our jammies ALL day!  We did some Halloween baking too...we made some cut out cookies and cupcakes.  We made the icing and both kiddos LOVED licking a beater...it was stinkin' cute.  Landon sucked that thing clean!!

On Monday night we scooped out our pumpkins (which R was so excited for, got the spoon in the pumpkin and then decided it was gross and was done...) to get them ready for carving, we were not feeling the carving on Monday night....so Tuesday night was carving night.  Once Landon man went to bed we got started.  As Keith and I sat there carving, we wondered how many more years it will be until we aren't the ones doing all the work?! :)  Reagan loved watching though and sure did LOVE the Cinderella pumpkin her daddy carved for her!

Wednesday morning we were up and at 'em for school.  Reagan had a Halloween parade and festival at school and was allowed to wear her costume, which of course included hair and make-up, which is not built into our normal "get out of the house by 8:55" timetable :)  We managed and she was SO excited to show everyone her costume!

Here they come...this "parade" was hilarious.  Reagan's class was the first to come out and as soon as she walked out the doors and saw parents waving, she just started waving at everyone...it was too cute!

Some of her class :)

The Cinderellas

Emmy, Reags, and Brooklyn at the festival!

Each teacher set up a little booth in the gym and the kids all had a ball with the different activities.  It was very fun!

Landon made his first arts and craft project...it was torn to pieces 15 minutes later, but it was sweet none the less :)

Reagan and her AMAZINGLY sweet and wonderful teacher, Ms. Diana

Later in the afternoon some of our favorite visitors arrived...Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop!  Everyone was SOO excited to see them!

This kid kills me...I just can't get enough of him!!

Now ready for trick-or-treating!!  This was the 2nd round and hair and make-up for the day and we were OVER it ;)

Reagan's Cinderella, Daddy's "Go Pack", and Bailey's bone

My ghosts and Landon's happy face

Reagan was so excited to go across the street to see Baby Jeddy and Miss Holly!

This guy did not like or care about the trick or treating experience for a second, SOO he hung out at home and pushed his toy around instead!

Kepplinger Family - Halloween 2012

Since I stayed back with Landon and my mom and John were handing out candy, Keith took Reags around for a while to trick or treat.  It was cold and she really doesn't even like candy, so after they were finished, she was more excited to HAND OUT the candy.  It was so cute and she commented on all of the costumes.  "What a cute little girl" and "oooohhh...scary, I don't know if you should get candy" were a couple of my personal favorites.

Reagan and baby Kaylee up the street!  That ladybug costume reminded me of Miss Reaggie's first Halloween...

Halloween 2009

Overall the day was a total success and there are already discussions about what next year's costumes will be!  As of now...R thinks she'll be a scary witch, I'll got ahead and bet that won't happen :)
