Cast Off Day and MORE Snow!

Last Tuesday, the 10th, was Reagan's CAST OFF day!  Of course we woke up to MORE snow!  It was REALLY coming down and I was thinking we'd just have to reschedule.  However, Keith is a great guy/Daddy and said we could make it...especially because the mention of NOT going put little miss in tears!  We were about a half hour late, which I had called and told them we would be because of the weather and they said it was no problem!  It worked out great though...we were probably in and out of there in 10 minutes :)
Last shot with a cast!

it was a little scary getting it off...

...but Reags was a trooper and we assured her the "saw" wouldn't hurt!

YAY!!  and it felt SO weird!

We stopped by Keith's office to get his laptop to work from home, since it was so snowy, and then we stopped at Walmart so Reaggie could pick out a treat for being so brave getting her cast off.  She picked a Strawberry Shortcake movie.  Keith ran out to bring the van to us and he was taking forever...I didn't know what on earth he was doing.  WELL, then he got out of the van and said it wouldn't start.  I tried to start it, nothing.  The sliding doors didn't work either.  The battery...lovely.  Did I mention is was snowing??  Thankfully, the first guy we asked coming out of the store was so nice and had jumper cables and was able to get us started.  We then went to Auto Zone to get a new battery and it took almost an hour to get the old one out and new one in.  Good times!  We were SO thankful Landon was home playing with Mum-Mum and Pop-Pop and not having to do all the waiting :)  Reags was a trooper!

We FINALLY got home, had lunch, and played in the snow!  On Monday, the day after the big snow, I had gone to Walmart to pick up a sled. (Yes, I go to Walmart a LOT!) They only had saucers, but it worked out great...the kids had SOOO much fun!  The "kind of the mountain and the sun" hill that the kids play on, across the street from my mom and John's, was the perfect little sledding hill.  If they weren't frozen, I think the kids would have stayed out all day!

We came in and Reaggie decided it would be a fun gingerbread house making day, now that she had both of her hands fully back :)  It was a LOT of fun!  Thanks Aunt Linda for the kit!  We had lots of candy, icing, and went to town!

It was so funny how all day Reagan was using her left arm even less than when she had her cast on it...she said it just felt so weird to not have it on anymore.  She has since adjusted just fine!
