Skating into 2016

New Year's Day we spent taking down all the Christmas decorations, which is such a blah and awful process...it's NO fun at all and the house feels so empty without everything.  Not to mention it's exhausting!  We got it done though and finished up the day with a pork dinner and lots of green veggies!

On the 2nd we had a fun day planned to take the kids ice skating at an outdoor skating rink by the Wilmington Riverfront.  It was hilarious.  Keith hasn't skated in probably 30 years, I clearly could not skate, and the kids had never been.  They had little "walkers" made out of PVC pipes, but they only had 3 and it was pretty busy.  SOOO Keith went out on the ice with Reagan first and skated with her.  I held Landon's hand from the outside of the rink and walked around the outside with him, while holding our snack bag, my purse, 2 helmets, and an extra jacket.  It was a SIGHT let me tell you!  Then Keith took Landon and I walked another lap with Reagan.  FINALLY after about 45 minutes of waiting the kids got a "walker" and they LOVED it!  They were cruising!

By the end, Reagan was really comfortable and was doing great on her own, still taking it slow, but but doing much better!

We left after a couple hours and then tried a new restaurant near home for dinner.  It was a great day and so much fun!
